Following the success of his first series Love at First Spike on iWant, Emilio Daez is set to take on a new role as Ziggy in the upcoming film Bar Boys: After School.

In a post on Bar Boys’ official Facebook page, it was revealed that Emilio will portray a wealthy young business owner who has a soft spot for his workers.

“Introducing Emilio Daez as Ziggy in Bar Boys: After School

Ziggy is a wealthy young business owner. While he struggles with reading emotions and expressing his feelings, he has a soft spot for his workers,” they wrote in a caption.

Netizens also expressed excitement at having the chance to see Will and Emilio in one movie project.

“WILL AND EMILIO IN ONE SCREEN OMG CAN’T WAIT,” a netizen commented.

Will takes on the role of Arvin, a struggling law student balancing the demands of law school, a day job, and supporting his extended family while Klarisse plays Mae, the breadwinner sister of a law student and the president of a fan club dedicated to Josh Zuniga — a former teleserye leading man turned law student, portrayed once again by Kean Cipriano.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Will shared his excitement about reuniting with Klarisse in her film debut.

“Nakakatuwa nga po kasi bago kami magshoot ‘yung first shoot ni Ate Klang, nagmemessage kami na kinakabahan sya na sabi nya ako na raw bahala sa kanya,” Will recalled fondly.

He praised Klarisse’s openness and eagerness to learn the craft of acting.

“Nakakatuwa naman kasi Ate Klang very open din talaga, willing siya matuto sa pag-acting, sa pag-arte. Kaya noong ginawa namin ‘yung mga eksena na nandoon sa Bar Boys, talagang smooth lang talaga,” Will expressed.

The official release date of Bar Boys: After School has yet to be announced.
