Kapamilya actress and Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition alumna AC Bonifacio is making her big screen comeback in the upcoming film adaptation of the hit Wattpad novel The Four Bad Boys and Me.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, AC shared her excitement about the movie finally being released.
“I’m so excited for it to finally come out! We shot this last year and went through a lot even before taping. Ang daming dance rehearsals,” AC happily said.

AC also revealed that she contributed to the choreography of several performance scenes in the film.
“I also helped with the choreography for some of the dance pieces. There was a lot of singing too—Harvey (Bautista) sang—so ang daming preparation even before we started shooting,” she added.
Despite scheduling difficulties among the young cast, AC said working on the film was a fun and memorable experience.
“When we finally got to shoot, ang hirap kasi when you put a lot of Gen Zs together, sobrang hirap din i-sync ng schedule namin. So when we finally got together, we felt super lucky. And when we finished it, excited na talaga kami na lumabas na siya,” AC admitted.
She continued, “The production team also had a lot of prep to do, so we waited and waited—and now, it’s finally coming out. Finally, may date na! Excited na po kami to see the final product, kasi shooting it was already so fun. So I bet watching it will be a whole different level.”
In the movie, AC plays Tiffany Chua, the bubbly best friend of Candice Gonzales, portrayed by Anji Salvacion. Tiffany is a cheerleader known for her outgoing, social personality—traits AC said she personally relates to.
“Si Tiffany feels very me talaga. I feel like ‘yung mga ganitong roles—best friend, supportive, cheery, full of energy—ako talaga ‘yon,” AC said adding her best friends, Darren Espanto, Angela Ken, Ken San Jose can vouch for her personality in real life.
“I really love my best friends to bits, and I always give them love and support when I can. Si Tiffany, she’s also passionate about what she does. She’s a cheerleader to her ate, si Stacey, and she dances—like AC Bonifacio! So I feel like we’re the same in many ways, but of course, she’s still Tiffany and I’m still AC,” she added.
Tiffany’s character is also paired with Troy Mendoza, played by Dustine Mayores. Though it’s their first on-screen pairing, AC said their chemistry developed naturally during auditions.
“Actually, yes! We’ve known each other, but we were never really close. Nakikita lang namin ‘yung isa’t isa sa ABS-CBN events or go-sees. I actually auditioned with someone else, ibang partner talaga. But when I got the callback, I was partnered with Dustine. At first, sobrang nahihiya kami sa isa’t isa—pero it worked beautifully! I don’t even remember the exact scene, but the shyness turned into kilig during the audition,” AC shared.
She went on: “Direk Bene (Benedict Mique) loved it, the producers loved it, the staff loved it. So they decided to partner us up for the movie. Ngayon, we’re super close—he’s one of my very close friends. We work really well together. He’s a funny guy!”
AC also shared that portraying Tiffany allowed her to explore emotions and situations outside her comfort zone, especially in the romance department.
“Troy is best friends with Candice, who’s also my best friend. So I try to get Candice to help me get closer to Troy. I don’t know why I did some of the things Tiffany did—hindi ko gagawin ‘yon as AC! But that’s what’s fun about acting. It puts me in a 'what if' situation—what if I was head over heels for someone? It’s exciting to explore new things, and I’m glad Tiffany allowed me to do that,” she explained.
AC further revealed how her real-life boyfriend, actor Harvey Bautista, supported her throughout the process—from auditioning to shooting.
“Even before Four Bad Boys, habang nag-a-audition pa lang kami, nag-High Street na kami. He and Blythe (Andrea Brillantes) were always helping me. Sinasabi ko talaga, ‘Idol ko ‘tong mga to, mga veterans ko from Goin’ Bulilit! Harvey helped me with my lines, pronunciation in Tagalog, movement—everything,” AC said.
Harvey is playing the role of Marky Lim in the film. Although they will not be working closely, AC shared that Harvey still helped her in many ways.
“When we got to Four Bad Boys, it was easier kasi I already knew someone I could depend on. Harvey was so supportive—he would pick me up, drop me off, even wait for me kahit late ako. But it goes both ways. Now, we’re finally promoting it together—it’s something we get to explore together, and that’s so exciting,” she added.
Based on the popular Wattpad story by Tina Lata, The Four Bad Boys and Me tells the story of Candice, an awkward bookworm whose life changes after she encounters four notorious bad boys in school.
The Four Bad Boys and Me premieres on July 31 via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
