Zanjoe Marudo takes on one of his most dramatic roles yet in his latest film, How to Get Away From My Toxic Family.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Zanjoe opens up about the parts of his role as Arsenio that he was able to relate to — and those he doesn’t.

“Yung malaking pamilya,” he said was most relatable to him.

Yet unlike Aresenio, the Kapamilya actor said that he doesn’t see himself working far from home.

He also noted that he wouldn’t allow himself to go to such extremes, nor let his own family experience that level of toxicity.

With the film tackling toxic family dynamics, Zanjoe opens up about the one toxic trait he personally can’t tolerate.

“Siguro ‘yung guilt-tripping. Parang may kanya-kanya tayo.

Zanjoe admitted that it took him some time to learn how to stand up against this kind of toxicity.

Watch Zanjoe take on one of his most intense roles in How to Get Away From My Toxic Family, hitting theaters nationwide this July 30, 2025.
