It’s been more than two decades since the first staging of the musical Nasaan si Hesus? and as plans have been announced for its adaptation to the big screen, no one else else is more excited than singer Geneva Cruz. The singer-actress is part of the talented cast which also includes her good friend Jeffrey Hidalgo, Rachel Alejandro, Janno Gibbs, Marissa Sanchez, 2023 The Voice Kids alumni Gianni Sarita and Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1 finalist Rachel Gabreza.
In her Instagram post last February 24, Geneva wrote, “I am honored to portray Sister Remedios, a character whose heart deeply connects with street children in the highly anticipated musical film 'Nasaan Si Hesus?' This film is set to inspire audiences during Holy Week and marks my first experience in a movie musical. 🤍💫
"Nasaan si Hesus? was written by the late Nestor U. Torre, and the film adaptation is set to be directed by Dennis Marasigan, with music and lyrics from Lourdes “Bing” Pimentel and musical director and arranger TJ Ramos. It was first staged in the mid-2000s and re-staged in 2017. 😊”

During the Nasaan si Hesus? press conference, Geneva shared just how important her current role is to her career. She shared, “I’m really really excited na gawin itong pelikula. Madalang po ako gumawa ng pelikula these days kasi sa totoo lang po nag eenjoy talaga as a performer and as a singer. Pero, ito po excited ako. Namimili rin po ako ng pelikula na alam ko na ikakaproud ko at ikakasaya ng aking kaluluwa at puso.”
The Nasaan si Hesus musical depicts the difficulties of the residents of a community during these modern times when pressures, temptations, distractions, and drastic changes in lifestyles and attitudes have put people’s spirituality to test. Nasaan Si Hesus? is under local production companies Balin Remjus Inc. and Great Media Productions, Inc.
