Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin reaffirmed their star power even while pursuing separate projects, as the South Korean superstar couple each took home top acting honors at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards held late Wednesday.
Ye-jin was named Best Actress for her role in Park Chan-wook's black comedy "No Other Choice," which emerged as the night's biggest winner with six awards, including Best Picture, Korean entertainment news outlet Soompi reported.
In the film, Ye-jin plays the wife of the protagonist, portrayed by "Squid Game" star Lee Byung-hun. His character, a paper company employee who is laid off, becomes driven to eliminate potential competitors for a new job.

Meanwhile, Hyun Bin won Best Actor for the period drama film "Harbin," which follows a small but courageous resistance army which fought to free Korea from Japanese oppressive rule in the early 20th century.
South Korean media noted that Hyun Bin and Ye-jin, fondly called "BinJin" by fans, are the first married couple in the ceremony's history to sweep the top acting categories.
The two previously worked together in the 2018 film "The Negotiation" and later reunited in the hit 2019 romance drama "Crash Landing on You," where they portrayed a South Korean heiress and a North Korean army captain who fall in love.
The pair began dating in 2020 but went public with their relationship a year later, before marrying in 2022. They welcomed their first son later that same year.
In addition to their acting honors, the couple also received the Popular Star Awards, sharing the accolade with Girls' Generation's Lim Yoona and GOT7's Park Jinyoung.
