MANILA -- For Joshua Garcia, Star Cinema’s 2025 drama “Meet, Greet & Bye” wasn’t just another project — it's a film, he says, he’ll “treasure,” thanks to the family-like bond he built with co-stars Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Belle Mariano, and Juan Karlos Labajo.
Garcia talked about his experience doing the film, in the latest vlog of Soriano, who portrays the matriarch of the Facundo family.
"Eto masasabi ko -- itong pelikula na to ay isa sa memorable sa akin. Ito 'yung mate-treasure ko talaga. Sinabi ko 'yon sa interviews ko, sobrang mahal na mahal ko itong pamilya na ito. Ito 'yung sana ay hindi mawala sa akin," Garcia said.
"Hindi mawawala sa iyo. Promise ko 'yon anak. Alam mo na love ka ni mama, hindi ba? Promise ko 'yon, hindi tayo mawawala," Soriano told as Garcia as they shared a tight hug.
Garcia explained that his hope comes from the fact that it's really hard to find people to trust in show business.

"Naiiyak ako baby boy. Kasi naman, love ko kayo lahat. Sobra talaga. Ito 'yung family ko na ako ang nanay nila, kaya kailangan kong patunayan na nanay talaga ako," Soriano said.
"Natuwa kasi talaga ako anak. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Alam ng mga anak ko ito, alam nila," she added.
Garcia admitted that it was also his first time to be this close to his co-stars.
"Kasi usually after noong work tapos na, magkakanya-kanya ka kayo ng buhay. Pero ito continuous 'yung update namin sa isa't isa," Garcia said.
"Saka tuwang-tuwa ako tini-text niyo ako, tapos kapag nagte-text ako, sinasagot nila ako. Hindi ba parang 'ay totoo na ito, hindi ito kemerut," Soriano shared.
Proof of their closeness is their same wish to work again and even do a sitcom.
On Monday, Star Cinema reported that the highly-praised, heartwarming family drama has earned P85 million, just five days since its premiere.
The movie continues to touch hearts and has been receiving positive reactions, as it also hit cinemas worldwide.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, the movie centers on the Facundo siblings, who want to grant their dying mother's wish — to meet her favorite Korean idol, Park Seo-Joon.
The film earned praises from moviegoers, celebrities and influencers for its universal theme, compelling storytelling, and relatable narrative.
