Ariana Grande was rushed by a fan during the Singapore premiere of her new film Wicked: For Good on Thursday, November 13, at the Universal Studios Singapore.

Footages shared online shows Ariana, who plays Glinda in the film, walking the yellow carpet with fellow Wicked stars Michelle Yeoh, Cynthia Erivo, and Jeff Goldblum. Suddenly, a man wearing a white shirt and shorts with long black hair with blue streaks, jumped over the barricade, quickly ran towards her, and grabbed her by the shoulders. The man then tried to pull her away.

Cynthia, who plays Elphaba, immediately intervened, placing herself between Ariana and the man while security personnel quickly removed the individual from the area.

@saysdotcom An up-close video shared by TikTok user @raphael.sli captured the moment a man jumped over the barricade and rushed at Ariana Grande during the Wicked: For Good premiere in Singapore on 13 November. Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly stepped in as security tackled and removed the man, identified online as “Pyjama Man", who reportedly has a history of similar stunts. According to @raphael.sli, after being escorted out, he continued to dance and even tried to approach Ariana Grande a second time, but was stopped by security. Fans soon identified the intruder as Johnson Wen, an Australian content creator who is known online as “Pyjama Man.” Wen later shared his own video of the encounter on social media, captioning it with a message thanking Ariana for letting him “jump on the yellow carpet” with her: “@arianagrande Dear Ariana Grande Thanks for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You ❤️ #wicked”

Fans quickly took to Wen's TikTok comment section to share their concerns about the artists.

“why would you do this...she looks so scared,” a netizen wrote.

“She did NOT let you jump on that carpet with her. 🫩,” one clarified.

Aside from celebrity concerts and events, Wen also crashes into sports events worldwide. In August, he disrupted the FIFA Women’s World Cup final in a Spain vs England match. He ran onto the pitch and approached England player Lauren Hemp, wearing a T-shirt that read “Free Ukraine” and “Stop Putler,” which also featured a mashup image of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Adolf Hitler.

Ariana appeared visibly shaken following the incident, taking several deep breaths while her co-stars offered reassurance. The unexpected disruption shortened the yellow carpet proceedings, leaving some fans disappointed who had been waiting to see the cast in full interaction. As of now, neither Ariana’s team nor the event organizers have released an official statement regarding the security breach.

Wicked: For Good is set to premiere in Philippine theaters on November 19, 2025.
