Kapamilya star Zsa Zsa Padilla couldn’t help but express her excitement as she makes her television comeback in the Kapamilya crime thriller series The Alibi.
During the media conference held on November 4, Zsa Zsa shared how thrilled she was to be part of a powerhouse ensemble led by Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino under Dreamscape Entertainment.
“Nakaka-excite kasi na kapag sinabi pa lang sa iyo yung cast, exciting agad. Kay Kim, pang third ko na ito, so very comfortable ako and kay Pau first time. But working with actors I get to be with — kasi nag-ASAP din kami so ibang feels itong artista ka na may mga roles din kayo — nakakachallenge talaga,” Zsa Zsa told PUSH ABS-CBN.
The Divine Diva also praised the show’s directors and her co-stars, saying the project inspired her to keep learning and improving her craft.
“Nasasayahan din ako. Very intense din siya and masarap mahandle ng magagaling na directors. Ako, I’m always open to learning. Lagi ko iniisip na kailangan lagi ako natututo dito, mayroon kang take home sa mga kasama mo. Pati mga style nila sa pagde-deliver, pinagaaralan ko na, tinitingnan ko kung anong maganda sa ginagawa nila,” she added.
Zsa Zsa also shared that she takes emotional preparation seriously, often immersing herself deeply in her role.
“Mayroon din ako takot sa pagdating sa emotions. Kasi acting is all about emotions kaya you have to be there sa set. Jino-joke ko nga iyong pamilya ko na sorry ah hindi ako masyadong in touch with them, kasi nagme-method na ako kasi mayroon akong pamilya rito,” she expressed.

With the filming location set in Cebu, Zsa Zsa felt it made it easier for her to connect with her character and the story’s environment.
“Madali rin pala na nasa set ka sa Cebu kasi it was easier to slip into your character. We miss our home sa Cebu kasi ang bahay namin is a resort, ganoon kami kayaman,” she quipped.
As she looked back on the project, Zsa Zsa said The Alibi will always hold a special place in her heart. “Years from now, I will always treasure this memory kasi napakaspecial talaga.”
In a separate post on social media, Zsa Zsa described her television comeback as both exciting and fulfilling.
“It’s been several years since my last teleserye with @Dreamscapeph, and I’m beyond grateful to be working again with such talented and passionate artists on #TheAlibi. What an exciting and fulfilling project this has been! Watching the premiere episode for @primeph made me realize how much heart and hard work everyone poured into this,” she wrote.
Zsa Zsa plays Jaqueline Cabrera, the mother of Paulo character. She plays alongside award-winning actor John Arcilla. During the same media conference, John expressed his admiration for Zsa Zsa, praising both her talent and personality.
“Na-in love ako kay Zsa Zsa Padilla. Hindi lang siya Divine Diva in the industry, isa rin siya sa best actresses I’ve worked with. Sobrang proud ako na naging part ako nito. Kakaiba talaga yung energy namin. Damang-dama ko yung connection,” he shared.
“She’s naturally a diva, very elegante, pero napaka-bubbly sa behind the scenes. Magkukuwento siya ng kung anu-anong bagay. Hindi mo aakalain na ganoon siya kakalog, kaya sobrang masaya,” he added.
The Alibi, directed by Onat Diaz, Jojo Saguin, and FM Reyes, is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video Philippines.
