While everything in love is transactional, the upcoming film "Unconditional," directed by Adolf Alix Jr., explores unconditional love between the characters of Rhian Ramos and Allen Dizon.
Dennis Evangelista is the line producer on the LGBT-themed romantic comedy film, which was written by Jerry Gracio and executive produced by Brandon Ramirez of BR Film Productions.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the movie’s lead actress, Ramos, discussed unconditional love.
“Ang tunay na unconditional love ay makukuha natin sa parents natin. May mga romantic love na unconditional love siya sa ibang bagay pero at the end of the day may conditions tayo sa mga romantic partner natin. Naniniwala talaga ako na love —especially romantic love — is transactional and conditional to an extent,” she told ABS-CBN News.
According to Ramos, this is the most interesting character she has acted in a film because it addresses sexual identities and preferences, as well as the concept of being "woke."
“I’m excited to do this movie kasi I feel like sa lahat ng mga kuwento na pinapakita namin sa mga pelikula, parang for me it sparks curiosity and questions para sa audience. ‘Yung curiosity and questions that spark for me is kung ano ba ‘yung understanding ko sa pagiging woke,” the actress shared.
“Woke is a term that we throw a lot nowadays. ‘Yun ang gusto kong i-explore. Also, ‘yung acceptance natin sa sexuality ng iba’t ibang klase ng tao. Kahit sa pagiging gay, marami pa ring preferences. I just want to explore that more in this movie,” she added.
Christmas plans, blessings
Ramos is one of the busiest actresses in 2024, having completed numerous films and other projects this year, and she is grateful.
“Sa totoo lang, nakaka-haggard na,” she jokingly said.
“Ang blessings talaga, hindi mo alam kung kailan siya darating. It’s up to you to recognize the opportunity and take it for yourself. This is my last movie of this year. Puwede ko na talagang i-announce na last na this year,” she added.
When asked to offer a brief summary of her 2024, she responded: “Made-define ko ang 2024… a year of planting, watering the plant, and putting fertilizer, and let it grow. Sa 2025 ko aanihin kung ano ‘yung mga tinamin ko this year. Hopefully, maka-create pa rin ako.”
Ramos also shared that she will be filming a significant portion of the film between December 17 and 23.
“Mag-start kami sa December 8. May malaking part sa movie na ito na magsho-shoot kami from December 17-23 which means uuwi kami ng December 24. Pero alam naman namin ‘yun coming into this project,” said the lead star.
About her Christmas plans, she said: “Ang family ni Sam (Verzosa), nagki-Christmas sila ng 24. Ang family ko naman, mag-Christmas kami ng 25. ‘Yun ang Christmas namin. I’ll just have a little Christmas nap and food and just be around the people I love.”
