SB19 turned the SMDC Festival Grounds into a living, breathing stage of storytelling as they served the finale of their Simula at Wakas tour with Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale on April 18, leaving A’TIN with a night that felt like both an ending and a beginning.
From the very start, the atmosphere was already charged. A sea of A’TIN roared in unison as the five members — Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin — emerged as cloaked figures and entered through a moving float. Upon their entry, fireworks filled the sky following a fierce performance of “DAM”.
Without breaking momentum, they powered through “What?” and “GENTO,” immediately hyping up the crowd. The energy intensified as the group delivered a fierce and growling performance of “Everblack,” followed by “8TonBall,” highlighted by Stell’s striking high notes that sent fans screaming.
From there, SB19 shifted into a vocal showcase. “ILAW” soared with emotional high notes, before transitioning into “Time” and “Memories,” allowing the group to slow things down and connect more intimately with the audience. The inclusion of “Liham” stood out as it felt like a direct message to A’TIN, further deepening the emotional atmosphere.
Taking a moment to address their fans, the members expressed their gratitude and reflected on their journey.
“Marami mang challenges, akala namin minsan parang tumatagilid na o matatapos na ‘yung grupo, pero nandiyan kayo palagi para suportahan kami and to keep us together, not just as SB19,” said Josh.
“This one’s our biggest [concert]. Definitely, I hope na mananatili ito sa lahat ng puso at isipan ninyo,” shared Ken.
“Saan man tayo abutin ng pagsasama natin, sana naging masaya ‘yung journey natin together. Kaya naman ngayong gabi, let’s create more memories together A’TIN,” added Stell.
They then performed “Memories,” reinforcing the message of cherishing every shared moment and looking forward to more. The mood shifted as SB19 explored a more sensual concept with “Moonlight” with the performance leaning into a more mature tone.
They then went with “I Want You” that unfolded like a staged romance, with each member interacting with a “date” through intense gazes and soft gestures against a bar-inspired set.
The concert expanded further with international collaboration as Japanese boy group BE:FIRST joined SB19 onstage for “Toyfriend,” before performing “Boom Boom Back” and “Be:First All Day.”
Reflecting on the collaboration, Pablo shared, “Nakakatuwa ‘di ba, through music napagco-connect natin ‘yung mga kultura natin sa isa’t isa.”
SB19’s longtime choreographer and coach Jay Roncevalles also took the spotlight as J2X, performing “Ako nga pala si,” and marking his introduction as an official 1Z Entertainment artist.
A major surprise came with the reveal of XONARA, the company’s first girl group. The seven-member act performed their self-written track “Tabi,” immediately making an impression with their powerful presence.
Returning to center stage, SB19 reignited the intensity with “Mana,” followed by a high-energy performance of their viral track “VISA,” complete with a dynamic dance break. The fun continued with “Dunka,” where two lucky fans were invited onstage, turning the moment into a shared celebration.
Another special guest was Filipino-Japanese choreographer, Riehata, who joined the group for dance segment with “Emoji,” before SB19 launched into “Bazinga.”
One of the most anticipated moments of the night revolved around Pablo’s much-talked-about sando dare after he lost in a Weverse game. During “Crimzone,” Pablo pulled off his long-sleeved top to reveal a black sando, performing the iconic “drip drip drip” as fans erupted in cheers. The energy was undeniable, with A’TIN jumping in unison, making the ground itself seem to pulse with the mass movement.
SB19 then made full use of the stage, moving to an extended platform for “Mapa” to get closer to fans, before traveling deeper into the crowd for “Quit.” During “SLMT,” they split into groups across the venue closer to fans, later regrouping as they performed “Freedom.”
Before closing the show, SB19’s emotions took over as the members shared messages of gratitude reflecting their eight-year journey with A’TIN.
“Alam ninyo, sobrang laki ng pasasalamat namin talaga...parang walang makakatumbas na salita para masabi namin kung gaano kami ka-thankful sa inyong lahat...Mahal na mahal namin kayo,” said Pablo.
“Yung journey na to hindi talaga siya madali...but then we were able to pull off ‘yung ganito kalaking show. Maraming, maraming salamat, A’TIN,” shared Justin.
“Every time na may concert kami, laging pumapasok sa isip ko ‘yung ‘Hanggang kailan kaya namin mae-experience ‘yung ganito?’ Marami kaming kinakatakutan pero knowing na nandiyan kayo, sobrang kampante kami na magiging okay lahat,” Stell said, visibly emotional.
“Hindi man tayo sure kung kailan magwawakas ang lahat pero at least ngayon, sure tayo na marami na tayong nagawang memories na magkakasama. Saan man to mapunta, I think enough na ‘yon para masabing naging makabuluhan ‘yung buhay ko,” he added.
With hearts laid bare, SB19 delivered “Wakas,” closing the concert on an emotional high. But true to the spirit of their trilogy, they refused to end there. Instead, they turned back to where it all began, performing “Go Up,” the song that started their rise to fame.
As fireworks once again lit up the night sky, SB19 stepped into a new chapter with “Shooting for the Stars,” leaving fans with a promise that while one story may have ended, another has just begun.
Among those who witnessed SB19’s biggest concert ever were several well-known personalities, including Vice Ganda, Ryan Bang, Jhong Hilario, Janine Berdin, Mika Salamanca, and Barbie Forteza, among many others.

While a full world tour is not planned after the concert, SB19 is already set to perform across North America, Europe, and the Middle East later this year. The group will also mark another milestone as they will be the first all-Filipino act to perform in the major international music festival, Lollapalooza, in Chicago, USA.
