The excitement is building as "ASAP" prepares to take over the BP Pulse Arena in Birmingham this August 30, with Kapamilya favorites Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Robi Domingo, Yeng Constantino, Maymay Entrata, Joshua Garcia and other stars.
For Robi Domingo, being with "ASAP" for 17 years is a dream come true. “'ASAP' has always been the home of the best of the best Filipino entertainers. And being part of 'ASAP' for 17 years, it’s one thing na maging host ka sa isang programa, pero it’s another thing to be a fan of the program that you’re part of. And for me, sobrang saya ko kasi I get to see the likes of Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Ms ZsaZsa Padilla, Sir Ogie Alcacid. And for our kababayans to see that lineup and more, much more, I think we’ve got an awesome show to showcase. And that is proudly Pinoy and proudly world-class.”
Donny Pangilinan, meanwhile, described "ASAP" as his “second family.” “In between tapings, in between work, ito yung parang hindi masyadong… siyempre trabaho siya, pero may kasamang play din, may kasamang gala, roaming around, and yeah, it’s for sure a second family to me, 'yung 'ASAP',” he shared.
Belle Mariano and Yeng Constantino are equally thrilled to reconnect with fans abroad. “It's always nice to see our Kapamilyas. I'm so excited,” Mariano said, while Constantino added, “Excited to be with my 'ASAP' Kapamilya para kaming mag-field trip!”
Mariano admitted she feels both nervous and grateful for her upcoming projects: “Kinakabahan ako but sobrang excited to work with great actors.”
Maymay Entrata also revealed she has begun training for an upcoming Dreamscape action series with Kyle Echarri and Donny Pangilinan. “Nagsisimula na po kami sa training po for upcoming action series po na kung saan po ay makasama ko po sila Kyle at si Donnie po at iba pang mga bigating artista po. Kaya very thankful po ako, Dreamscape,” she said, joking, “Kita niyo po 'yung buhok ko, pakalbo na ako. Charot lang. Hindi, matagal ko na po talagang sinasabi ‘to, gusto kong genre na itatry po. At yun po yung action talaga. Tapos ngayon matutupad na siya. Kaya excited ako.”
Joshua Garcia, on the other hand, is preparing to change his look for a movie he is currently shooting with Piolo Pascual, JK Labajo, Belle Mariano, and Maricel Soriano. “Kasi nag-su-shoot ako ngayon kaya I’m really excited to shave, cut my hair. Ongoing pa rin ni-shoot namin ng movie with si Piolo, J.K., Belle, and Miss Maricel. Mag-sus-hooting kami I think hanggang second week ng September. Mag-ano muna ako, ahit muna ako for Birmingham,” he shared.
With powerhouse acts and heartfelt reunions, "ASAP in England" promises an unforgettable showcase of proudly Pinoy and world-class talent.
