Jerry Yan shared a poignant monologue about love and loss during the F Forever 1st World Tour concert at the Philippine Arena on Saturday, June 27.

During his solo performance, the F4 member delivered an emotional reflection that resonated deeply with the audience, particularly longtime fans of Meteor Garden.

"When we were young, we always thought of that person we couldn't dare to let go of would never leave our life. But then we realize some people are not meant to stay with you forever. They're just here to walk with you for a little while. That journey was so short, so short that looking back now it feels like it was just a single afternoon," Jerry remarked.

The singer-actor went on to explain that while some relationships may be fleeting, the memories they leave behind can last a lifetime.

"But it was also so long, long enough that even after 10 years, 20 years, you can still remember their voice, remember the weather that day, remember how fiercely you once love someone," he highlighted.

Jerry then reflected on what he believes is life's greatest regret.

"I think the biggest regret in life is not actually losing someone. It's when you suddenly realize one day, the person who used to make your heart race a beat, has slowly just become a memory," he pointed out.

Despite the sadness that comes with parting ways, Jerry said that every relationship leaves behind something meaningful.

"But it's okay because they teach you how to love and you teach them what it feels like to be loved. And then honestly, it's already enough," he said.

The emotional monologue drew cheers and applause from the crowd.

F4 first gained widespread popularity through the hit Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, which became a cultural phenomenon across Asia in the early 2000s. The series first aired in the Philippines on ABS-CBN in May 2003.

The drama starred Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Van Ness Wu, Ken Chu, and the late Barbie Hsu.

In the series, Jerry portrayed Dao Ming Si, the strong-willed and hot-tempered leader of F4. Initially distrustful of others and believing that money could solve any problem, Dao Ming Si often clashes with Shan Cai (Barbie Hsu) because of her defiant nature. However, their constant conflicts eventually blossom into romance as he falls in love with her.
