Following the successful and well-attended launch of her debut album “Mahika,” Mika Salamanca said she plans to continue focusing on improving her skills as an artist, especially in acting.
“Lalo pa akong magpupursigi sa fields I am in — acting, music, even gaming, and vlogging. I think it's time to level up those skills para mas mahubog pa ako, lalo na sa acting,” she said in an interview held in Quezon City on Saturday.
She went on: “Nag-workshop ako for acting because I take everything I hear online as constructive criticism.”
Salamanca added that she is open to every opportunity, including being shipped to her fellow "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Will Ashley.
The two were paired by fans online following a post from a Bangkok trip. The two, however, denied it was a hard launch of their rumored romantic relationship.

“Hindi po ako nagco-close ng kahit anong doors and kung ano ang pwedeng maging opportunity sa akin or sa ibang tao na makakasama ko,” she reasoned.
According to Salamanca, "Mahika" was a dream come true, describing the album as a collaborative, hands-on project that allowed her to be deeply involved in the creative process.
“Super saya ko. I always knew maglalabas ako, hindi ko lang inaasahan na sa ganitong paraan,” she explained.
“Sobrang collaborative nito. Dapat last year pa lalabas, but grabe ka-meticulous ko and ng Star Music team, kaya umabot siya ngayong taon. Pasahan talaga kami ng ideas from melodies and everything,” she added.
Among those present at the album launch were Ashley and Xyriel Manabat.
