Taking a brief pause from her hospital rounds on the hit series The Pitt, Fil-Am actress Isa Briones is back on the Broadway stage.
Isa joins the cast of the new musical Just in Time and took her first bow earlier this week. She portrays pop singer Connie Francis, the role previously held by Sarah Hyland, and stars alongside Matthew Morrison, who plays music icon Bobby Darin.
Just in Time traces the remarkable life and career of Bobby Darin, weaving in timeless hits such as “Beyond the Sea,” “Splish Splash,” and “Mack the Knife.” The musical is developed and directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, with a book by Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver. It is currently running at the Circle in the Square in New York.
News of Isa’s casting sparked excitement across the theater community, with fellow performers quick to show their support.

Isa is widely recognized for her role as Dr. Trinity Santos in The Pitt, but her roots in theater run deep. At just 19, she became the youngest performer in the first national tour of Hamilton, marking an early milestone in her stage career.
Her Broadway journey reached a personal high in 2024 when she debuted as Eurydice in Hadestown, sharing the stage with her father, Jon Jon Briones, who played Hermes. The historic pairing made them the first father-daughter duo to star together in the acclaimed production, drawing praise for their powerful performances and undeniable chemistry.
Isa’s return to Broadway follows her on-screen win at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards, where she and her The Pitt co-stars took home the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
