Actress Cristine Reyes revealed that her iconic fight scene with Isabelle Daza in the 2016 Kapamilya series Tubig at Langis became a little too real while they were filming it. In the recent episode of The Sexytime Podcast where she was a guest, she explained the reason everything just "exploded" in that scene.

Cristine and Isabelle portrayed the roles of Irene and Clara, respectively. Kapamilya actor Zanjoe Marudo was the series’ leading man–– playing the role of Natoy.

“Hindi lang to nangyari sa isang araw ng taping ah–– 18 months 'to. Bwisit na bwisit na talaga ako,” Cristine expressed.

All of the emotions that she was feeling then reached a certain limit and she poured it all out in their iconic fight scene at the beach.

“Nagkaroon ako ng chance sa beach. Hindi niya siguro inexpect na talagang totoohanin ko 'to. This is my chance after how many months mo akong pinahirapan,” she said.

“It’s my chance bro eh nag Jiu-jitsu pa ako nun–– 10 years ako nag martial arts. Tapos ang laki niyang tao eh ang liit ko. Talagang ginanun ko yung ulo ni Belle, slam sa baba. Tapos sinipa niya ako, gumanti siya sa akin,” she added.

For Isabelle, she shared how she didn’t expect Cristine to go all out and make the fight scene real–– which was why she was caught off-guard. Despite this, the two revealed that it was an effective scene as it only took one take.

“Sobrang lakas niya. Siyempre, I also did not know that she was gonna do that… I didn’t also want to break character because I felt like this is it–– this is a big scene. Especially how the director hypes you parang feeling mo okay, totoo na to. Sayang din if break character diba. So ang sakit-sakit she was bringing me 50 meters across the beach,” Isabell shared.

After the scene was shot, Cristine shared that she just went back to her tent and didn’t talk to Isabelle while the latter was breaking down, realizing what just happened.

“Totoo talaga yung ginawa ko kasi sorry ah, naipon na yun Belle eh. Ang dami mong ginawa sa akin na hindi mo alam. Alam mo yung hindi nalang ako nag rereklamo kasi pag nag reklamo ako patay ako–– It girl 'to eh,” Cristine maintained.

It was only after the series that the two patched things up and explained what was going on in their heads. Cristine felt apologetic for what she did while Isabelle quickly understood what happened after the former explained her side.

“But in the end, parang it worked to our favor kasi lumaki yung show because of that,” Isabelle quipped.

The two maintained that they are already on good terms.
