Kapamilya actresses Janella Salvador and Elisse Joson, along with content creator Vlad Magallanes, opened up about their most fulfilling moments as parents to their kids, Jude, Felizem and Akasha, respectively.
In the media conference for the newest season of Lactum’s BIBO-lilits Galing Challenges, the three parents candidly shared how parenthood has reshaped their perspectives and brought them unexpected joy.
For Janella, motherhood has given her the rare opportunity to relive childhood through her son Jude.
“The most fulfilling part is being able to experience childhood with your kid all over again,” Janella told PUSH ABS-CBN. “Parang 'yong privilege na hindi ko expect na ma-i-experience ko when I became a mom.”
She added that growing alongside Jude allows her to see the world through his eyes, making each milestone even more meaningful.
“Growing up, mga na-experience nila for the first time, I like to really see things through their eyes para mapantayan ko siya and experience (it too). It feels amazing and it just brings me so much joy to see him grow up and become the person he's becoming,” Janella expressed.
Jude is Janella’s son with her former partner, actor-singer Markus Paterson.
Meanwhile, Elisse said that hearing positive feedback about her daughter Felize affirms her journey as a mother.
“From my experience with Felize, people would come up to me and tell me na si Felize is ganito 'to, si Feliz ang bait. Si Feliz ang bilis sumunod.\ l think hearing that it feels like as a mom, maybe I am doing something right and I think that's the most fulfilling part for me,” Elisse said.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate added that such compliments feel especially rewarding as a solo parent.
“Knowing that she's growing up to be, you know, a very special girl and people are seeing it. So yun palang is already parang a win for me. And part na hindi ka na nahihiya kasi for me feeling ko everytime that people talk about or say good things about your kid, you just feel like an overwhelming feeling tapos parang naliyak ka na lang kasi sa sobrang proud mo,” Elisse stated.
Felize is Elisse’s daughter with FPJ’s Batang Quiapo actor McCoy de Leon.
For Vlad, on the other hand, fulfillment comes from the simplest gestures, which are his daughters’ words of appreciation.
“Napaka-simple lang po pero 'yong sabihan ka ng anak mo actually, nai-vlog ko lang last last time 'yon, na 'yong sabihan ka ng anak ko na “I love you, Dada,’ ‘Thank you, Dada,’ ‘You're the best, dada.’ Simple lang po 'yon pero 'yong 'yong kakapiranggot na word na 'yon talagang nakakatanggal siya ng pagod,” Vlad told PUSH ABS-CBN.
The content creator added that even after a long and tiring day, these small but sincere expressions from his children make everything worthwhile.
“Parang magic. Kapag ano na everytime na nasa sala lang ako nanonood bigla nang yayakap 'yan. Gano'n din siya sa misis ko. Siguro 'yon 'yong fulfilling. Maliit lang na bagay Hindi niya kailangan bilhan ako ng kung anuman basta ay 'yong words lang na 'yon sobrang sarap na sa pakiramdam bilang magulang,” he added.
BIBO-lilits Galing Challenges 2.0 highlights children showcasing their skills and abilities through fun challenges with guidance from their parents. The show will begin streaming on April 24 via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
