True to her nickname when she joined PInoy Big Brother in 2015 as “The Bombshell Baker ng Parañaque,” Dawn Chang has continued to expand her business, DC Delights, which she first started even before she became a PBB housemate. What she first considered as a side hustle has turned into a growing cookie empire with the newest cafe branch just opened last December near ABS-CBN in Quezon City.

Now, aside from her flagship store in S Maison Conrad in Pasay City, Dawn was proud to open their first permanent location in Quezon City.  “We opened our very first DC Delights cafe in Scout Dr. Lazcano. It’s very new. Sa ano pa lang siya?  Last December lang namin siya in-open,” she told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview.

Known as a dancer and TV host, Dawn shared that being able to grow her skills as a businesswoman this past decade has also been important to her, not just as the CEO, but as someone who can help improve the lives of those around her through employment opportunities.

“To be very candid, medyo malalim ito eh. I never knew until I started giving livelihood to our staff. Iba yung reward na nakukuha ko when I know that I am able to give opportunities to these people. But then, maraming kaming kasama hanggang ngayon. From the very beginning, kasama na namin. Bukod of course, sales natin. Of course, because iba naman yun,” she told PUSH ABS-CBN.

The 37-year-old Pinoy Big Brother 737 alumna also admitted that she has grown a lot as a person since entering the PBB house in 2015.

“From the days of Dawn na sa TV and GirlTrends, well definitely there's a big character development. I am more intentional now. Dawn has become more of a lady. So even my fashion style has changed. Yung dati yung hubaderang Dawn siya, ngayon, medyo tina-try natin maging conservative. Because intentionally, we are planning our own family naman in the future. So we want to get ready for that,” she admitted.

Dawn has also been busy in front of the camera wrapping up hosting duties for a new show set to air this year. “We shot that sa Hong Kong. It was the first reality dating show here in the Philippines. And I was one of the hosts. And I'm very grateful, sa TV5 and Hong Kong Tourism Board for choosing me. Baka maudlot. So, but when the time comes, malalaman ninyo lahat yan,” she added.

Last month, Dawn joined other PBB alumni in saying farewell to the iconic Bahay ni Kuya after it was announced that it was closing its doors and moving as confirmed by head of TV Production and Star Magic, Laurenti Dyogi.
