“To the people who took a chance on me and keep taking them still everyday, I owe this all to you.”
This was the message of actress Dimples Romana as she marked her 29th year in the entertainment industry, nearly three decades since she was introduced as part of Star Circle Batch 4.
On her social media page, Dimples looked back on her journey in showbiz while expressing gratitude to the people who have been part of her career through the years.
“Exactly 29 years ago today, I was blessed to be launched as part of the StarCircleBatch4 on @asapofficial alongside the best people to grow up in the business with- to name a few who have remained close not only to me but to my family, my kuyas @jerichorosalesofficial @domochoa ate @nikkivaldez_ and all of us who believed that our light deserve to be seen 🥹,” she said.
Dimples also reflected on how her once “tiny dreams” of helping her family eventually grew into a lifelong passion and legacy in the industry.
“To the many ups and downs, doors shut and doors wide open, to tears of joy, anticipation, through many rejections turned into rediscovering and redirection, to years of evolving from just being a teen supporting actress, to carving my way into the art of being an antagonist, to learning to host, to now representing brands that I believe in and have grown with over decades of nurtured relationships and mutual trust, to persevering in it alone to winning it with my family now,” she said.
She added that despite the challenges she faced throughout her career, she remains grateful for the opportunities the industry has given her and her family.
“My heart remains most grateful to the entertainment industry that has given me and my family the life we have always dreamt about and prayed for. To the people who took a chance on me and keep taking them still everyday, I owe this all to you,” she expressed.
Reaching nearly three decades in show business also made the actress reflect on the importance of inspiring other artists who are just starting to pursue their dreams.
“Kapag pala umabot ka na sa tatlong dekada ng buhay mo sa isang bagay na pinapangarap mo lang noon at pinagdadasal, wala ka nang mahihiling pa kung hindi ang patuloy na makapagbigay pag asa at inspirasyon sa mga taong naguumpisa pa lang mangarap at magdasal,” she remarked.
She encouraged aspiring artists not to lose hope even if their journey in the industry progresses slowly: “Sana kahit gaano kabagal ang pag-usad ng kanilang karera, kahit gaano katagal at kahirap ay wag silang panghihinaan ng loob, bagkus tuwing makikita ka nila ay maisip nilang, minsan din akong naging sila.”
Dimples ended her message by acknowledging that her path and journey was built on perseverance.
“My journey in the industry was not exactly what others may dream of at first, for it was slow but sure, I am proud to have built this stability with the help of those that came before me and have held my hand through it all and kept whispering, DO NOT GIVE UP. Keep building, for this journey is never a race nor is it ever about who came first and finished last, it is about who stays and who remains.”

Dimples was among the aspiring young stars introduced in Star Circle Batch 4, the 1997 talent launch of ABS-CBN’s Talent Center (now Star Magic). The batch included Kristine Hermosa, Jericho Rosales, Dominic Ochoa, Nikki Valdez, Julia Clarete, Anna Larrucea, Vanessa del Bianco, Paula Peralejo, Carol Banawa, Spencer Reyes, and Steven Alonzo.
