Chinese actress Zhang Yingfei didn’t immediately realize she had gone viral in the Philippines — and certainly not under the name Linda Walker.
During a recent Douyin livestream, the 21-year-old actress shared that she was confused when English comments kept referring to her as “Linda.” Since she uses Fifi as her English name, she initially thought the messages were mistakenly sent to her.
“Sabi ko, mali yata yung comments. Hindi naman Linda pangalan ko,” Yingfei shared as per translation.

Curious, she translated the messages into Chinese to figure out what was happening. That’s when it finally clicked: the comments were referring to her character in clips from her drama series.
She was Linda. Linda Walker is a character from the Chinese drama series The Heiress Who Won With Brains (The Real Heiress She Is a Top Student), which aired in China in September 2025.
The realization made her laugh. Yingfei said she had no idea her series had gained attention in the Philippines and that she was known under an entirely different character name.
The vertical drama, The Heiress Who Won With Brains, was originally produced for Chinese audiences. The series unexpectedly found a second home in the Philippines after English and Tagalog-dubbed clips started circulating online.
In one scene, her character takes a high-level mock exam and scores 719 points — far beyond the typical 400–500 range. The dubbed line, “Ang nakakuhang score ni Linda ay 719, highest scorer,” quickly became a meme across TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms.
Now aware of her popularity, Yingfei is taking the moment lightly, embracing the fact that, in the Philippines, many viewers know her best as Linda Walker.
