Disney has unveiled its 2026 Disney Legends honorees, the company’s highest honor.
The 2026 Disney Legends honorees reflect the diverse talent and storytellers who have shaped Disney across entertainment, storytelling, and experiences for generations.
Honorees include Bob Iger, former CEO of The Walt Disney Company.
Dwayne Johnson, Anne Hathaway, Susan Egan, and Alan Tudyk were named new Disney Legends.
Also honored are the Jonas Brothers and Lin-Manuel Miranda, songwriter.
In animation, Eric Goldberg was recognized as an animator.
From production and sports, Jerry Bruckheimer, a producer, and Chris Berman, a sports broadcaster, are included.
Rounding out the list is Imagineer Kim Irvine.
Fans online were quick to react to the announcement.

"ALL SO DESERVING!!!!" another fan wrote.
The Disney Legends Award ceremony will serve as the grand finale of the highly anticipated D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event set for August 14 to 16, in Anaheim, California. Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the ceremony, set for Sunday, August 16, at 1:30 p.m. PT at the Honda Center.
“D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is where we come together to give our incredible fans an early look at what’s coming next across our company, while celebrating the legacy of the extraordinary people whose creativity has shaped Disney into what it is today,” Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, remarked as per press release.

He added, “It’s an honor to celebrate our Disney Legends — their impact is felt in everything we do and recognizing them alongside the fans who love their work is what makes this event so meaningful.”
The Disney Legends Awards program is a 39-year tradition of The Walt Disney Company, which began in 1987 with Fred MacMurray as its first honoree. With this year’s additions, a total of 329 Disney Legends have been named.
