Kapamilya actor Elijah Canlas revealed that he almost had another project with Kapamilya actress Xyriel Manabat. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the About Us But Not About Us star teased that the project for the two of them ‘almost happened.’
Elijah and Xyriel have worked in several projects such as Senior High and High Street. Fans have been raving about their on-screen chemistry and their acting prowess as they delivered line after line. The two also worked together in the film Sunshine, but didn’t have any scenes together.

“I mean it almost happened, guys. Hindi ko na sasabihin for what but it almost happened. I mean, we hope for the best,” he shared.
Despite their last project being almost two years ago, Elijah maintained that they’ve been in constant communication with one another. He added how they plan to meet up especially if their schedules will align with one another.
“I was just talking to her yesterday tapos we’re gonna hang out next week, I think. She’s also busy, you know? Galing siyang PBB and she’s doing a soap right now,” he continued.
Elijah assured their fans that if a project would be pitched again to them and the timing is right, they will make it work no matter what. Xyriel is currently starring in the latest iWant series, The Secrets of Hotel 88, alongside her former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab housemates.
“Napakabusy niya pero kapag nabigyan kami ng opportunity, we try our best to really make it work no matter the schedule. Sayang lang nung nakaraan hindi lang nag work because of the schedule pero kung meron man, gagawan talaga namin ng paraan para matuloy yun,” he assured.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya actor just released his first-ever album titled, South II, and has 10 tracks. Apart from trying his luck at the music scene, Elijah added that some of the movies he filmed over the past years are set to make a premiere this year.
