Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith admitted that a lot has changed and grown when it comes to her relationship with fellow housemate and love team partner JM Ibarra. The two are set to star in their first solo film, Almost Us, under Regal Entertainment which is set for release this May.
During their exclusive interview with PUSH Bets, Fyang couldn’t help but be proud of her current biggest discovery about JM, who is admittedly is. not as vocal as she is when it comes to expressing himself on camera.
“Yung maturity niya sa loob ng bahay, yung knowledge niya sa loob ng bahay, sobrang grabe nung lumabas kami. Nag-quiz bee kasi kami, ay, grabe pala yung knowledge ko, sobrang walang wala (compared to him) (laughs). Though nakita ko naman sa loob ng bahay na sobrang caring niyang tao, pero mas na-appreciate ko siya sa labas. Kasi nakita ko kung paano niya hina-handle lahat ng situations, sa family niya, sa mga friends na nakapaligid sa kanya, sa mga taong mahal niya. Na-appreciate ko siya and kung paano siya magpahalaga ng isang tao. Sobra talaga to the point na kaya niya gawin para sa tao na yun. That’s so sweet right?” she shared with PUSH Bets host Gary Ann Lastrilla in the interview.

From being reality show contestants to slowly establishing themselves as rising artists in the showbiz industry, Fyang also explained how much she thinks JM has grown as an artist.
“Siguro sa work, yung discovery ko sa kanya is grabe siya mag-hands-on. Grabe siya ka-hands-on sa mga bagay na ginagawa niya at sa mga gusto niya gawin. Kapag may gusto siya gawin, talagang tina-trabaho niya. Hindi namin napapag-usapan ito pero every time na may taping, may work, yun yung discovery ko sa kanya. Napapasabi ako na grabe itong tao na ito, parang hindi napapagod. Kung may gusto siyang ikamit sa buhay niya or as an actor, talagang gagawa siya ng paraan, gagawa siya ng lahat ng proseso dadaanan niya, lahat ng possible na gagawin, gagawin niya. Parang sa taping, kung paano niya i-handle yung character niya sa isang serye or movie,” she said.
Although the two stars continue to insist that they are just the best of friends at this point in their lives, the Almost Us lead actress revealed how much of a big deal meeting JM really is in her life.
“And bilang siya naman as JM, without saying actor celebrity, ang discovery ko naman sa kanya is sobrang siya yung unang tao na nakilala ko na grabe magpa-feel ng love, aside sa family ko, of course. Yung tipong kahit yung mga imposibleng bagay, gagawin niyang posible para sa tao na yun,” she added.
