Kapamilya singer and actress Angeline Quinto revealed that she was once upset with fellow singer Yeng Constantino after the latter missed out on her wedding. In an interview with comedian Chad Kinis earlier this week, she recalled how her good friend was supposed to be the singer during her bridal march but was unable to do so because of other commitments.
Angeline tied the knot at the historic Quiapo church back in 2024 with Nonrev Daquina.

“Oo nag tampo ako kay Yeng,” Angeline admitted.
Though, she maintained that everything has been settled and they are both okay with one another. She then recalled the exact reason to the misunderstanding that happened between the two of them.
“Siya kasi dapat kakanta sa bridal march ko. Siya agad yung naisip ko nun kasi gusto ko yung song na 'Ikaw.' So ngayon, nung nag yes si Yeng sa akin syempre ‘Yeng, thank you’ sinabi ko yung date. Actually siya yung unang unang nakaalam na ikakasal kami ni Nonrev sa mga kaibigan ko–– Kahit si ate Vice [Ganda], Erik [Santos] di ko pa sinabihan,” she explained.
The Kapamilya singer expressed how she wanted the song so much which was why she told Yeng about the wedding first. It was during the final stages of her wedding preparation when her good friend dropped the unfortunate news about her commitment that would fall on the same day as her wedding.
“Tapos yun, after mga isang buwan, kung kailan malapit na yung kasal, doon siya nag sabi sa akin na hindi siya pwede kasi meron siyang commitment. So na feel bad lang ako,” she recalled.

Looking back, Angeline shared that maybe it was the wedding planning and pressure that became the reason she was upset at Yeng.
“Parang siguro nag sama-sama lang yung pressure kasi ilang linggo nalang malapit na tapos biglang wala ng kakanta,” she reflected.
Because of the sudden change, she was able to make an original song that she wrote with Jonathan Manalo–– something much more special for her big day.
“Kaya kami nakagawa ni sir Jonathan ng original song para sa wedding namin ni Nonrev. Kami nag sulat nun. Alam naman ni Yenggay yun kasi parang talaga na ano ako… Oo. Mas personal, mas kami ni sir Jonathan yung sumulat,” she said.
All is well for the two of them as the experience made their friendship much stronger as seen on their posts on social media.
