Bianca Gonzalez took to social media to share a special moment that she recently got to share with her daughters, Lucia and Carmen, which was watching her husband JC Intal play basketball again
On her Instagram page, Bianca relayed that JC participated in the Ateneo-La Salle Alumni Game. Bianca, together with her daughters, watched JC's basketball match.
"It was a very special day because our girls got to watch their daddy play basketball again, in an arena, AND feeling that unique Ateneo-La Salle energy!! 🏀💙 #OneBigFight," she posted. "So nice to see them reunited on the court!"
Bianca and JC both studied at Ateneo.
Afterwards, JC then went on to become a professional basketball player. He announced his retirement in March 2021.
"After 2 decades of playing the sport I love, 13 years of which in the PBA, I am officially announcing my retirement from basketball," he announced back in 2021.
JC extended his gratitude to everyone who became part of his basketball journey. "Words cannot express how grateful I am to every single person who helped me make this journey possible—from playing for 2 years in Letran for High School, to 5 years in Ateneo for College, and 13 years in the pro league. Thank you to my wife, Bianca, and our daughters Lucia and Carmen for the love and inspiration," he said.
He thanked his family and friends for helping him become the athlete that he aspired to be.
"To my family and friends, to my colleagues who became my brothers, to my coaches and team staff, to the doctors and PTs, to my Nike Philippines family, to the different leagues, to the sports media and commentators, to the basketball fans who supported me, and to God who made all of this possible, I am forever grateful," he said.
JC admitted that it has been bittersweet saying goodbye to the game that became a big part of his life. Nonetheless, he is moving forward feeling happy and proud "knowing I made the most of the privilege to play."
"It has been the honor of my life to play basketball. From the bottom of my heart, again, THANK YOU. #RocketOut," he remarked.
Bianca and JC met years after graduating from Ateneo.
In an Instagram post back in August 2023, Bianca shared how she met JC.
"A lot of people think that my husband and I met in college because we both went to Ateneo. But actually, we never met when we were still students!" she shared.
She recounted: "The real story of how we met isn't anything grand or cinematic. It was around 5 years after graduating that he saw me from across the court when we both happened to watch an Ateneo game in Araneta Coliseum. He asked a common Tita of ours for my number, and several weeks after that was the first time we met. That Tita is Tita Didi Lopa, between us here in this photo. Our matchmaker!"
Bianca and JC tied the knot in December 2014 in Palawan.
Back in December 2024, the couple had their renewal of vows in Palawan to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.
