MANILA -- Actress Barbie Imperial stressed that she did not cause the separation between her now-boyfriend Richard Gutierrez and his former wife Sarah Lahbati.
Imperial addressed the issue as she opened up about her romantic relationship with Gutierrez in the newest vlog of Ogie Diaz.
(Whatever the reason for their separation, I can say and God knows that it was not me. Everyone in show business knows that, those who know Richard, Sarah, and me.)
(Sarah and Richard both know the reason for their separation. They also both know that it wasn’t me. Whatever that reason was, it’s not my story to tell, and it's my respect for Sarah, for Richard, and for their two children.)

Imperial stressed that the former couple were no longer together when she entered the picture.
Alam mo 'yon? 'Yung may sasabihin siya about me, babae siya. At feeling ko kung ako rin inagawan, ipo-post ko talaga," she said.
(What I knew at the time was that they were already living in separate houses. And I feel, Tito, that if I had taken Richard away from Sarah, she would really be angry with me. You know? She would say something about me, she’s a woman. And I feel that if someone took my partner away from me, I would really post about it.)
Asked what she sees in Gutierrez, Imperial replied: "Grabe siya mag-aalaga, mag-effort at hindi ka niya susukuan kapag mahal ka niya" (He really takes care of you, makes an effort, and he won’t give up on you if he loves you)."
In the vlog, Imperial also talked about her relationship with Gutierrez's mother Annabelle Rama, her relationship with the actor's children, bashers, and more.
Imperial and Gutierrez are working together in the upcoming series "Blood vs Duty," together with Gerald Anderson, Bela Padilla, and Baron Geisler.
