Actor-turned-director John Prats took to social media to express his gratitude to close friends and singer-songwriters KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde following their successful sold-out concert series.
After directing the couple’s major concert In Between, John thanked KZ and TJ for trusting him with the show.
“KZ and TJ, maraming salamat sa buong tiwala na binigay n’yo sakin. Hindi ko ito makakalimutan. Sobrang rare makahanap ng artists na hindi lang magagaling, kundi mabubuti pa ang puso. Thank you for allowing me to be part of something so special. We did it together. Grateful beyond words,” John said.
He added how proud he is to witness the continued blessings coming the couple’s way. “I’m always cheering for the both of you sa lahat ng pangarap, projects, at blessings na darating pa. Proud ako sa inyo palagi. Love you guys. 🤍 To God be the glory!”
In another post, John admitted he is still in disbelief over directing a major concert like In Between.
“To be a director was already more than a dream for me. At kahit naging director na ako, never kong na-imagine na makakapag-direct ako ng show na ganito kalaki. Kaya alam ko at sure ako na si God ang kumikilos at nagdi-direct through me. Ako lang ang instrumento Niya. ✨ Salamat po, Lord. All glory back to You. Salamat @tjmusicmonterde @kztandingan sa tiwala! Mahal na mahal ko kayo!!!” he said.
John previously served as concert director for TJ’s Sariling Nating Mundo world tour where KZ was one of the concert guests.
On the final night of the couple’s concert series this February, John went onstage to personally share how his friendship with KZ and TJ began and how he witnessed another milestone in their careers.
“Sobrang sarap nila kasama, TJ, last year ang dami ko ng message sa inyo and actually naging close ko rin si KZ sa tour and salamat. Alam niyo ba na wala dapat concert na mangyayari na ganito. Si KZ kasi sobrang worrier. Ayaw niya gawin yung concert na ito dahil ang sabi niya baka sawa na raw kayo sa kanila after 40 long shows,” John said, revealing KZ’s hesitant in doing her and TJ’s joint concert.
John also announced that the couple made history as the first Filipino couple to stage four consecutive sold-out shows at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“Hindi pa dyan nagtatapos ang blessing ninyo kasi we made history. Last year, TJ was the first sold out na tatlong araw dito sa Araneta Coliseum and now, TJ and KZ first time din na magkaroon ng sold-out na straight 4 days dito rin sa Araneta Coliseum,” John happily announced.
Meanwhile, John’s sister, Camille Prats, and John's wife, Isabel Oli, also expressed how proud they are of John's journey as a director.
“I’m such a proud sister watching the whole show knowing its my brother who is making this magic come to life! As much as I want to enjoy the show, I can’t help but turn my back to watch him be in his element. What a gift, kuya. You gave us an experience that is hard to forget,” Camille said.
Isabel also wrote in a post: “You pour your heart and mind into every show kaya those sleepless nights paid off in the best way. You were buzzing with excitement to bring this to life, and yeah, it’s a little sad that it’s over, but wow, what a ride. Pero pinaka gusto ko is how you always remember to give God the glory in ALL you do. Here’s to more shows. Love you ♥️.”
