Actress-comedienne Tuesday Vargas reached out to the public for prayers after revealing that her son is currently away as he seeks help to get better, a situation she described as deeply painful for their family.
In a Facebook post on January 30, Tuesday shared that her 24-year-old son, Kaya, is “currently away seeking the help he needs to get better.” While she chose not to disclose details about his condition, the actress-comedienne spoke about the emotional weight of the situation.
“I’ve always known that being a parent means your heart walks around outside your body, but right now, it feels like my heart is breaking. My son is currently away seeking the help he needs to get better. It’s the hardest thing we’ve ever faced as a family aside from losing my father, and the house feels far too quiet because of his absence,” she wrote.
She then reflected on her role as a mother and expressed hope for her son’s healing.
“I’m far from a perfect person, but I have a perfect love for him. My biggest prayer is that he comes out of this stronger, healthier, and better than ever before. If you have a moment, please keep us both in your thoughts and prayers. We would deeply appreciate any words of support as we look forward to his healing.”
Following her post, messages of encouragement poured in from friends in the entertainment industry and from netizens who shared their prayers for the mother and son.
“Oh, Ate Tuesday…. Will be praying for you and your son. Kapit lang. There is a way and God is with you in this. 🥺🙏🏻,” wrote Kapuso actress Carla Abellana.
“Praying for you both.. 🙏 may the strength of His hand guide you and may your heart sustain your days, dear. Hugs! 🫶🏼,” added a netizen.

While Tuesday has largely kept her private family life away from the spotlight, especially when it comes to her son, she has consistently shared her love and gratitude for Kaya over the years, particularly on his birthdays. Through her posts, she has given glimpses of their close bond, often highlighting the love they share as mother and son.
Kaya has also been a central source of strength for Tuesday, especially during the most difficult moments in her life. In August, the actress made headlines after sharing 10 personal facts about herself, including her mental health journey. In that post, she revealed that she was diagnosed with high-functioning autism and ADHD at the age of 12, and later, in 2018, with generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and panic attack disorder. She also shared that she had experienced different kinds of abuse growing up and that she had attempted to "unalive" herself twice.

Despite these challenges, Tuesday emphasized how being a mother to Kaya gave her resilience and purpose in life.
“I am a fighter, a mother who is trying to become a person of value at the same time raising a son who I pray becomes the same — someone who doesn’t give up easily or uses whatever 'condition' or its effects as a crutch to just sit idly by and let life waste away,” part of her post read.
Tuesday gave birth to Kaya at 21 years old and has raised him as a single mother since then, often speaking about the strength she draws from their relationship. As she asks for prayers during this difficult time, she continues to hope for healing and better days ahead for her son and their family.
