KPop Demon Hunters singer EJAE has delighted fans after finally sharing photos of her engagement with music producer Sam Kim, marking a deeply personal milestone amid one of the most successful periods of her career.
The Grammy-nominated artist posted a carousel of photos on social media, giving followers a glimpse into moments from her life over the past few months. Among the images were candid snapshots of EJAE with Sam, offering fans a rare look at their relationship. One photo captured the proposal itself, with Sam down on one knee in a garden as he placed the ring on EJAE’s finger. Another showed a celebratory cake with the message, “HAPPEE ENGAJMINT SAM + EJAY.”
“memories 💜,” EJAE simply wrote in the caption.
The post quickly drew warm reactions from fans and fellow artists, many of whom congratulated the couple for finally sharing the news after keeping their relationship largely private.
“❤️❤️,” simply wrote by fellow KPop Demon Hunters artist Arden Cho.
“Congratulations EJAE ❤️😍❤️ can’t wait to hear more beautiful creations! May he be good to you always!,” one wrote.

The singer-songwriter previously revealed in an interview with Vulture that she and Sam have been together for eight years.
While she has kept much of her personal life away from the spotlight, she announced her engagement in November during an interview with radio station 104.3 MYfm. At the time, she shared that she was already engaged but remained focused on her music career, following the continued success of her song “Golden” from the Netflix animated series KPop Demon Hunters.

During the radio interview, EJAE also opened about experiencing a breakup with Sam. She spoke about how that period helped her confront personal struggles and learn difficult lessons about timing and healing. Despite going their separate ways at one point, EJAE said they eventually found their way back to each other, leading to their engagement and reinforcing her belief that things work out when they are meant to.
Showing off her ring, she announced, “Engaged!”
“It was even crazier, like the dream to be a singer, that worked out too. Every things work out...It’s kind of crazy,” she added.
While engaged, EJAE shared that wedding plans are not yet her priority, as she continues to focus on her career milestones. However, she confirmed that they are planning to get married in fall this year.
“I’m engaged and I’m about to have a wedding next year [in the] fall but I’m not even thinking about that one, trust me. I’m thinking about the Oscars and the Grammys dress...to figure out what kind of dress [will] fit me maybe that will help for my wedding dress,” she said.

More recently, EJAE shared intimate moments with Sam through a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary for her first single “In Another World,” which she wrote during their breakup. The three-minute video, narrated by EJAE, featured tender moments between them, including scenes of them seated together at the piano and another where he cheers her on from the stands.
\Alongside these personal milestones, EJAE continues to thrive professionally. Earlier this month, she delivered an emotional acceptance speech after “Golden” won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.
Adding to the momentum, EJAE has earned five Grammy nominations for “Golden,” including Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Remixed Recording. The song is also an official nominee for the Oscars for Best Original Song.
