MANILA — Actress-host Karla Estrada opened up about how their family navigated Daniel Padilla’s breakup with Kathryn Bernardo.
In an interview with Melai Cantiveros on her show "Kuan On Juan," Estrada said they handled that episode with humility and maturity.
"Pagpapakumbaba and pagtanggap, acceptance. That's why I think they handled it well," Estrada said.
Estrada revealed that she was the first person that Padilla informed about the split.
"He called me and told me what happened. I'm the first person he told about it. I said these things really happen. Tayo lalabas tayo na with humility, acceptance and, of course, kailangan natin ng silence," said Estrada.

As a family, Estrada said they chose not to talk about or comment on the issue to avoid adding fuel to the fire.
"It's also to show respect to Kathryn and her family. So we don't talk about it. At the end of the day it's about him and Kathryn," Estrada said.
Bernardo and Padilla confirmed in November 2023 that they have ended their 11-year relationship.
