SexBomb Girls member Jopay Paguia was recently hospitalized after suffering a concussion earlier this week, prompting concern and prayers from fans and fellow artists.
According to Mayo Clinic, a concussion “is a mild traumatic brain injury that affects brain function.” Usually, it is caused by an “impact to the head or body that is associated with a change in brain function.”

On January 10, Jopay revealed her condition in a Facebook post, where she shared a photo of her hospital patient identification band and briefly addressed her situation.

Not long after, Jopay provided more details about what led to her hospitalization. She explained that she had an accident where bathroom tiles fell and struck her head and back. Because of the impact, doctors immediately recommended further medical evaluation to ensure her condition was properly assessed.
“Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nag-alala at patuloy na nagdadasal. 🙏”
“Na-hospital ako matapos mabagsakan ng tiles ng CR ang ulo at likod ko kaya kinailangan magpa-CT scan at MRI. Hindi pa tapos ang check-up at hinihintay pa ang results, kaya pinayuhan ako ng doctor na magpahinga muna.”

Despite being hospitalized, Jopay shared an emotional moment that reminded her why she continues to push through challenges. Alongside her update, she posted a video of a fan celebrating after securing tickets to the SexBomb Girls’ upcoming Get Get Aw! concert.
“Napaiyak ako ng makita ko ang saya ng isang fan na nakabili ng ticket ng SexBomb concert, naalala ko kung bakit ako lalaban. Diyos ang lakas ko, at dahil sa inyo, lalaban ako hanggang matapos ang Round 5 ng concert. 🤍🙏”
“Mahal na mahal ko kayo 💖,” she added.
Messages of concern and encouragement quickly flooded her post, with fans reminding her to prioritize her health, especially after the group’s recently concluded two-night concert last December and ahead of their three-night show scheduled in February.
“Halaaa. Get well, lods. Mas mahalaga po ang health nyo.. Di baleng matagalan per rAWnd ng concert basta healthy kayong lahat! 😍💗,” one fan wrote.
“wag nyo pong pababayaan health nyo.. sa ganitong edad po talaga sadyang kusa pong humihingi ng break/pahinga ang katawan.. sana ibless kayong lahat ni Lord ng maayos/malakas na pangangatawan para patuloy po kayong makapagpasaya ng mga fans nyo po ☺ grabe kayo sa 3 day straight, antindi non! 😍💪💪,” another added.
A day later, Jopay’s husband, actor-dancer Joshua Zamora, shared an update to reassure supporters, saying that she is steadily recovering and remains under medical care as a precaution.
“Soon makakabalik na yan si Ate Jopay nyo, we all know how God is faithful, just a little more rest.
Thank God there was no serious injury; we are still taking precautionary measures.
More consultations with the doctors,” Joshua updated.
“Salamat din sa mga nag assist na doctors and nurses at Capitol Med ER. Thank you sa lahat ng PRAYERS, and well wishes. Only you my Lord can heal my Babas. Jehovah Rapha the Lord our Healer,” he concluded.
Jopay is set to reunite with the SexBomb Girls for their Get, Get, Aw! The SexBomb Concert, scheduled from February 6 to 8 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The group’s rAWnd 3 and rAWnd 4 shows have already sold out, while tickets for rAWnd 5 continue to sell quickly.
