Starting the year on a high note, Elha Nympha has officially made her long-awaited return to the ASAP stage, signaling a new chapter to her career after a year of hiatus dedicated to prioritizing her health and well-being. The Big Shot Belter’s comeback has been met with excitement from fans who have been waiting to see her back at the platform where she shines most.

Elha first marked her return on December 21 with a grand homecoming performance on ASAP, where she delivered a powerful rendition of “Rise Up,” a song that mirrored her own journey back to the stage. She then joined the weekend variety show on its first live episode early this year as it marked ABS-CBN’s return to free TV on Channel 2 through ALLTV.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Elha opened up about how it felt to finally be back after a year away from the spotlight, expressing how much she missed the people and the place that shaped her career.

“Super happy kasi na-miss ko yung mga ka-trabaho ko dito sa industry and of course, na-miss ko ang ABS-CBN. I think right lang talaga yung timing para sa aking pagbabalik. I’m just so blessed to have this opportunity again. Thanks to ABS-CBN and of course kay God,” she shared.

Along with her gratitude, Elha also gave fans something to look forward to as she confirmed that her return to ASAP is not just a one-time appearance. She hinted at more performances and surprises in the weeks ahead, sharing her excitement about being part of new production numbers.

“This will be a regular thing so it’s going to be really, really exciting din kasi maraming mga pasabog. I can’t wait to do more production [numbers] pa, especially hindi namin alam yung mga next production [numbers] na gagawin pa namin in the next few weeks,” she said.

“I am just excited, looking forward sa mga production [numbers],” she added.

Elha’s hiatus traces back to her reveal in 2023, when she shared during her guesting on Magandang Buhay that she was dealing with health concerns. While she chose not to disclose the exact medical condition, she explained that it was a common issue affecting women and something that required proper care and attention.

“Sa health po, I mean common po siya ito sa mga babae like hormonal imbalance mga ganoon po, mga ganoong bagay. Pero mas may deep pa po na explanation doon sa problema ko po na I think hindi pa ako ready i-share,” she said at the time.

“Up until now ay nagpapagamot po ako. Sana po soon ay makabangon po. ... Hindi naman po siya life and death situation pero maapektuhan po kasi ang future ko as a woman,” she added.

These health concerns became one of the main reasons she stepped back from the stage. Reflecting on that period in her life, Elha shared with PUSH ABS-CBN that her break allowed her to focus fully on healing and wellness.

“During the time na nagpahinga ako, talagang nag-focus ako sa wellness. May mga health issues din ako na kailangan ko talagang i-focus and kailangan talaga ng matinding rest,” she said.

She also reassured fans that her voice remained in good shape despite the rest, explaining that her break was focused on other aspects of her health.

“Other than that, sa voice naman, hindi ko ino-over use yung voice ko. It’s more on different side ng body ko yung pinagfo-focus-an ko ng pagpapahinga. So, nandito pa rin naman siya [my voice]. I still sing kahit na nagpahinga ako.”

When asked about how she spent her time during her hiatus, Elha candidly gave a glimpse of her routine.

“Puro gym, puro wellness, puro golf,” she said.

Her love for golf even led her to venture into business, as she founded her own golf apparel brand in 2024.

Elha first captured the hearts of fans in 2015 when she was hailed as the grand champion of The Voice Kids Philippines Season 2. She went on to perform on international stages, including the US and French versions of Little Big Shots. She also showcased her versatility as a singer and impersonator on Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids in 2018, where she transformed into icons such as Sharon Cuneta, Dulce, and Beyoncé, among others.
