Actress and businesswoman Neri Naig Miranda expressed her grief over the passing of her mom earlier this month. On her Instagram account, the "Wais na Misis" shared how grateful she was for her mother who gave all the love to her and her family.
Neri’s mom Carmelita passed away last September 15–– she was 76 years old at the time of her passing.

Neri shared how the death of her mom paved the way in order to make peace with each other. She didn’t specify any details about what she meant with her statement but remained grateful that she was able to be with her family once more.
“Minsan, ang pagkamatay ng mahal natin sa buhay, somehow reunites families and friends who haven’t seen each other for a long time. Yung mga matagal nang hindi nagkita, at hindi nagkaka-usap, biglang nagkakasama muli,” she wrote.
For Neri, this was her late mother’s way of letting her family know “what truly matters” even if she’s no longer alive.
“In a way, para syang blessing in disguise... siguro eto yung way ni Mommy of bringing everyone together, making peace, and reminding us what truly matters, kahit wala na siya,” she added.

She maintained that her mother wasn’t a perfect one but she has made her own sacrifices that gave opportunities for her family–– something Neri is thankful for up until today. The actress shared that this was her late mother’s “legacy.”
“Our mom wasn’t perfect, pero she was our mom...at dahil sa kanyang mga sacrifices, her strength, at pagmamahal na binigay nya sa amin in her own way, kaming mga anak nya ay naging maayos ang mga buhay,” she shared.
Friends and fans of Neri sent their comforting words and condolences in the comment section of her post.
Previously, Neri shared how she had a simple life growing up and would even gather food from their neighbors to use as feed for their pigs.
