MANILA — Vice Ganda did not mince words as she called for the death penalty for government officials allegedly linked to anomalous flood control projects.
“Ibalik ang death penalty sa mga corrupt. Ikulong pati pamilya nila,” the comedy superstar said during the Trillion Peso March program at the People Power Monument along EDSA
(Bring back death penalty for corrupt officials. Jail even their families.)
For the "It's Showtime" host, stealing from the country is more heinous than the crimes committed by murderers and terrorists.
“Ang corrupt na politiko ay higit pa sa mamamatay tao. Ang korapsyon ay higit sa terorismo... Ang magnanakaw walang pinipili. Kapwa Pilipino ang inaabuso,” she said.
(A corrupt politician is worse than a murderer. Corruption is worse than terrorism… a thief spares no one. Fellow Filipinos are the ones being abused.)
Vice Ganda fiercely urged Filipinos to speak out and make their anger felt.
“Tapos na ang panahon ng mabait at resilient... 'Di na uubra bait-baitan. Hindi ko babaitan mensahe ko — sa katunayan, mga hayop sila. Hindi natin kakalmahan dahil deserve nila ang galit, poot, at pikon,” she said.
(The time for being kind and merely resilient is over… pretending to be nice won't work anymore. I won't soften my message—in fact, they are animals. We will not stay calm because they deserve our anger and outrage.)

She also directly addressed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., urging him to punish everyone accountable as it is his job as a public servant elected to serve Filipinos.
“PBBM, upang magkaroon ng magandang legasiya ipakulong mo lahat ng magnanakaw. Inaasahan ka namin. Swine-swelduhan ka namin PBBM. Kami nagpapasahod sa inyo. Tapos na panahon takot sa gobyerno. Takutin natin. Ipakulong lahat. Lahat. Bawiin mga ari-arian,” she said.
(PBBM, if you want to leave a good legacy, jail all the thieves. We are counting on you. You're being paid by us, PBBM. We are the ones paying your salaries. The time for fearing the government is over. Let’s make them afraid. Jail them all. Every single one. Seize all their assets.)
Joining Vice Ganda on stage after marching from EDSA Shrine were Anne and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Darren Espanto, Donny Pangilinan and Jackie Gonzaga.
