Fans from various groups of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition alumnus River Joseph recently gathered in Quezon City for a fan event.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, River revealed why he was moved to tears during the gathering.
“Habang pinapanood ko yung video kanina, naging emotional ako. Grabe, ang galing nila. Gumawa ng mga videos at gumawa ng mga kanta. Habang pinapanood ko yung mga videos nila, parang bumabalik lahat ng mga memories na napagdaanan ko ever since day one. And throughout all those memories, I'm happy to say na nandun sila by my side,” River expressed.
The rising actor also shared how he was reminded of the fans who stood by him even through his hardships, saying their unwavering support continues to keep him going.
“Throughout all those challenges, throughout all those different projects na nangyari, through all the ups and downs, they were always there by my side. Kaya I was very grateful at naalala ko rin na I'm not alone. I have them with me. Kaya naging emotional ako,” he said.
He also added that every moment spent with his supporters has become one of his favorites.
“Siyempre makita lahat sila at makilala, marinig yung lahat ng mga kwento nila, yung mga story nila. At favorite moment ko makita sila, numingiti. Kasi that's also what makes me smile. Kaya super happy for this event. I know that there will be more of this in the future,” he shared.
River ended up as the Fourth Big Placer in the latest edition of Pinoy Big Brother alongside his duo, AZ Martinez—an experience he said has changed his life and career for the better.
“Grabe, after going outside of that house, nag 180 shift. Siyempre, very overwhelming lahat na nangyayari these past two months. It's really been a roller coaster. So I'm just taking it day by day. And siyempre, grateful pa rin for everything that has happened. Pero kahit ang dami pa rin nangyari, ito pa rin ako. Si River pa rin 'to,” he said.
River was part of the iWant original Love at First Spike and also appeared recently in the Gerald Anderson-starrer Sins of the Father.
