Travis Kelce looked back at how he couldn't hold back his emotions during his proposal to Taylor Swift.
In an interview with Fox Sports: NFL, the football star revealed that the special moment brought him to tears.
"The palms were definitely sweating," he recalled in a preview of the interview shared on social media platform X.
"I'm an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there. But it's been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her," he added.
Travis and Taylor announced their engagement on August 27 (PH time) via social media. "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," the social media post read.
Travis' father, Ed Kelce, recently relayed to the News 5 Cleveland that Travis proposed to Taylor in a Missouri garden.
"He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, 'Let's go out and have a glass of wine…' They got out there, and that's when he asked her, and it was beautiful,' Ed shared. "They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew."
In her TIME Magazine interview in December 2023 after being named 2023 Person of the Year, Taylor spoke about how their romance began, sharing “it all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was mental as hell."
"We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other," Taylor relayed.
The "Blank Space" hitmaker also pointed out that when she was first seen at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September, she and Travis were already in a relationship.
"I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date," Taylor highlighted.
