While Bea Borres stays in the public eye through her active social media presence, her disappearance from the television scene remains a question for many.
During the launch of the newest Dear Face Beauty Milk variant that she endorses, Bea revealed the reason she took a break from acting.
“Actually, I was supposed to (go back to acting), as in [meron nang[ contract but then mas pinili kong mag-study kasi it’s already my 4th year na and I really wanna focus on my school,” she told PUSH ABS-CBN.
Now pursuing her studies at Ateneo de Manila University, the social media influencer shared a profound motivation for finishing college.
“I promised my parents kasi na I will graduate so uunahin ko muna ‘yung pag-graduate,” she said.
Bea, who rose to prominence through her acting stint on the hit television drama series Kadenang Ginto, said the lessons she gained from her experience prompted her to prioritize her studies.
“Actually, nung time ng Kadenang Ginto, pinili ko ‘yung career ko so parang I learned from it already,” she said.

During her guest appearance on PUSH Bets in 2023, Bea talked about how she got into showbiz despite being initially opposed by her dad.
“Hindi niya talaga approve, as in ayaw talaga niya,” she said. “‘Yung daddy ko late siya nagigising kasi syempre mas nauuna ako magising kasi I have school so parang hinahayaan niya ako. Madadaanan ko ‘yung room niya tapos tatanungin niya ako ‘oh ano nag-taping ka noh?’”
When she started getting recognition from people, her dad eventually embraced and supported her passion for acting.
“I think kasi nung nag-taping kami, pa-end na kasi ng school year ‘yun so mga summer. Biglang andaming nag-a-approach sa dad ko na ‘uy nakikita ko ‘yung anak mo. So siyempre yung daddy ko, although hindi niya inaamin, sobrang proud siya sa akin, may pagka-stage father din siya. So biglang, ‘I’m so proud of you, sige ipagpatuloy mo ‘yan basta summer,” she recalled.
Bea continues to thrive as a content creator with over 700,000 subscribers on YouTube and nearly 4 million followers on TikTok.
