Carlos Yulo took to social media to pen a message for his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, as they marked their 5th anniversary.
"Happy 5th anniversary mahal ko! 💖🥂" he wrote on his Instagram page.
The Olympic gold medalist reflected on their journey together, especially how their once long-distance relationship has now blossomed into a shared daily life.
"Mula sa palitan ng mga matatamis na salita papunta sa mga matatamis mong labi, sa mga yakap mong hinahanap ko palagi. Sa presensya mong nakakahawa ng saya at pag mamahal mong walang katumbas. Dati sa cellphone lang kita nakakausap at nakikita, ngayon araw araw na tayong magkasama 🥹❤️ thank you G!" he remarked.
Carlos also expressed his deep gratitude for Chloe’s positive influence on his faith.
"Lord God marami pong salamat sa regalo nyong anghel na nagsilbing gabay para matuto, maging mabuti, magmahal at higit sa lahat mas mapalapit SAYO. ☝🏻Aalagaan, mamahalin at poprotektahan ko po ang lahat ng ito. Grateful and thankful po ako sa mga challenges and blessings na binibigay nyo po para mas patatagin at mas mahalin pa namin ng husto ang isa’t isa," he said.
Carlos concluded his post saying: "Muli, maligayang anibersaryo sa atin mahal ko ❤️ mahal na mahal kita 🥰😘."
Chloe also took to social media to mark the milestone, writing a heartfelt tribute to their journey together.
"5 years?? That’s half a decade of love, laughter, lessons, and leaning on each other 🤍," she wrote, reflecting on how far they’ve come. "I still can’t believe how fast time flew, like what we always ask each other, 'sabi nila bumabagal daw yung oras pag mag kasama, bakit yung sa atin ang bilis?!' 🤣😭"
The singer went on to express deep gratitude for having Carlos in her life. "I’m so grateful to the universe for writing this life with you in it. We’ve grown so much and have been through a lot, individually and as a team and I’m just really proud of us, mahal. Thank you for making love feel safe and steady," she stated.
