Awra Briguela recently extended help to flood-stricken communities in Las Piñas and in Bulacan.

In a series of TikTok posts, the 21-year-old could be seen actively doing her part by joining in relief efforts and initiating her own drive using her platform.

This came after incessant rains brought by Southwest monsoon (habagat) and tropical cyclones caused massive flooding in several areas around the metro and other provinces.

In one of her TikTok videos, Awra can be seen braving the flood waters while carrying relief packs to reach affected individuals. Also spotted in the video was actress-vlogger Riva Quenery.

According to an Instagram reel shared by Horizon Digital Management which featured Awra and Riva alongside other influencers, the relief operation was held in Calumpit town in Bulucan which was placed under state of calamity, according to reports.

“For the families of Calumpit. In the midst of the flood and hardship, we came not just with goods, but with care, presence, and solidarity,” it captioned its post.

“Together with JGMD Clinic, volunteers, and friends, we stood by those who needed it most. Because no one should face a storm alone,” it added.

A separate TikTok post showed Awra being hands-on with the preparations from buying goods, repacking them, and distributing the items for victims of flood and a recent fire in a village in Las Piñas.

“Maliit man basta mula sa puso,” she captioned her post.

In her broadcast channel, Awra expressed her gratitude for those who supported her donation drive, saying: “Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nag-abot ng tulong.”

The actress’s act of kindness earned praises from several netizens who reacted positively to both posts.

“Thank you sa dami ng masasamang sinasabi nila against sa’yo, mas pinili mong gumawa ng mabuti at tumulong sa nangangailangan,” a netizen wrote.

“May your pockets never run dry po. Thank you and God Bless,” another netizen commented.

Back in 2020, Awra also initiated a relief operation for families affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses in Cagayan and Isabela, as seen in her YouTube vlog.

“This experience is an eye opener, and it made me realize that even if we are not experiencing disaster or we are not the ones affected by the damage, we can still help and make and impact,” she wrote in the vlog’s description.
