Sins of the Father star Jessy Mendiola is nothing but proud of how her husband Luis Manzano embraced fatherhood.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, the actress honored Luis’ growth and maturity, emphasizing that “he is a good provider.”

“Malaki ang pagbabago kasi syempre of course when he was single, he used to work only for himself. And I am not shy, I am not embarrassed to say or to admit that he [Luis] is a very good provider,” she said.

For Jessy, Luis’ maturity really came out when he became the head of the household.

“He’s one of the most hardworking people na nakilala ko sa buong buhay ko," she said. I’m not working for myself, I’m also working for my family.’’

Likewise, Jessy was also changed by motherhood for the better.

“Motherhood really made me realize na may mga bagay talaga na dapat mangyari para madala ka sa kung saan ka dapat,” she said.

The actress, who strives to be the best mom for her two-year-old daughter Rosie, also emphasized that she has grown braver.

“Lalo akong tumapang nung naging mommy ako,” she said. “Ganon pala talaga 'yun noh.

Jessy, who has long been in the showbiz industry, has also learned how to choose her battles.

So, learn where to put your energy para rin ma-save mo ‘yun para anak mo or sa pamilya mo,” she said.

After taking a break on showbiz, Jessy made a big comeback in the crime thriller mystery drama Sins of the Father, playing Agnes Policarpio.

As a hands-on mom, the actress is grateful to the management for valuing her time and trusting her with the project.“As much as possible I want to also work for myself but also, I want to be hands-on pagdating sa pamilya ko. So bawat desisyon sa bahay, kahit ulam niya (daughter Rosie) ngayong araw, alam ko lahat. Importante sa akin to be physically there the next day so kaya very strict sila to my working ours,” she said.
