It’s Showtime host Ryan Bang shared a heartwarming experience with his Korean mom and aunties as he brought them to Tagaytay, joined by his fiancée, Paola Huyong.
In his latest vlog, Ryan expressed his excitement about letting his family experience the beauty of the Philippines and try some of his favorite Filipino dishes.
“Hi vlog! Now pupunta kami ng Tagaytay. Ako po ay driver plus tour guide plus translation kasi nandito yung Korean (mother) ko and titas,” Ryan said in the video intro as he drove them to the popular tourist spot.
Ryan shared that his mom and aunties have been enjoying their time in the Philippines.
“Tuwang-tuwa po sila kasi ang ganda po ng Pilipinas,” Ryan said. “Noong first day nila na pumunta rito, dinala ko yung nanay ko at tita ko sa Intramuros. Pumasok namin yung Jose Rizal museum and nag ikot ikot kami sa Intramuros.”
He also took them to the It’s Showtime studio where they witnessed his birthday production number.
“Sa second day nila, napanood nila yung birthday production ko (sa It’s Showtime) na nasa last vlog (ko),” he recalled.
On social media, Ryan posted a heartfelt message: “Thank you Lord for all the answered prayers that happened during my birthday in the Philippines. 🇵🇭♥️🎂🎉🫶🏻.”
For the next leg of their trip, Ryan brought them to Tagaytay to see the famous Taal Volcano and enjoy local Filipino cuisine.
“Ngayon, nandito kami sa Tagaytay at papakainin ko naman sila ng Filipino foods,” he said as he wanted them to try piyaya, daing na bangus, and lechon kawali.
While on their way to the restaurant, Paola asked Ryan’s mom and aunties to describe him.
“He is very kind, very soft, very sensitive and very mabait ang anak niya,” Ryan translated his mom’s words.
His other auntie also expressed, “Ryan Bang is very, very kind and smart”
Another one shared, “Ryan is kind to people, a very humorous and handsome guy and the best person.”
Once at the restaurant, Ryan had a quiet moment to open up how he felt sharing special time with the people close to his heart.
“Punong-puno yung puso ko. Full of love lang kasi kapag nag-birthday ako, ilang taon na ako, kapag birthday ko nag-iisa ako sa Pilipinas. Ngayon, may kasama na ako, tapos nandito yung tita ko, yung auntie ko,” he happily expressed.
“Excited po ako. Thank you po, Lord. Akalain niyong kasama ko iyong pamilya ko at siyempre si Paola,” he added.
Despite the cloudy weather and Taal Volcano being hidden at first, Ryan continued with his food tour. He served them Filipino favorites like bulalo, tortang talong, kare-kareng gulay, lechon kawali, bistek Tagalog, crispy pata, sisig, and guyabano juice.
“Very masarap,” his mom commented after trying the food.
As they ate, the clouds cleared and the view of Taal Volcano appeared. Ryan’s mom playfully credited Paola for the change in weather.
“Napakaswerte daw ni Paola kasi siya ang reason nawala yung ulap,” Ryan translated.

They later took photos by the scenic view, cherishing the special moment together. Ryan also shared a sweet moment hugging his mom and inviting Paola to join in.
“Thank you, Showtime! Maraming salamat, Mommy Vice at pinayagan mo ako mag-absent muna today sa Showtime,” Ryan said.
“Ang ganda ng Pilipinas. Dapat dito tayo magprenup. Ang ganda ng Tagaytay, I love the Philippines talaga,” he added.
Aside from the love and support of his family, Ryan appreciated the warm welcome from Filipinos.
“Kahit saan po ako pumunta sa Pilipinas, binabati po ako ng mga nanay and tatay. Napakaswerte ko po,” he shared as people approached him to ask for a photo or greeted him whenever they see him.
Ryan and Paola got engaged in June 2024. Ryan recently revealed in an interview in PUSH Bets that they are planning a small ceremony in Korea and a main wedding celebration in Manila in June 2026.
