Host and social media personality Joyce Pring marked a major milestone as she finally earned her college diploma, graduating Summa Cum Laude after a 15-year journey.
In a heartfelt post on social media, Joyce reflected on the emotional and spiritual transformation she experienced while completing her studies.
“What began as a quiet resolve to finally complete my college degree has unfolded into something of deeper purpose— a journey that has transformed far more than my academic life,” Joyce wrote.
Joyce expressed her gratitude as she walked the stage to receive her diploma, calling it a symbol of healing and restoration in her life.
“As I crossed the stage today to claim my diploma, my heart marveled in awe at the goodness of God in my life; this whole experience is truly a testament to His perfect timing, will, and plan for our lives,” she expressed.
Joyce went on: “This diploma isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a promise kept: a promise of healing, restoration, and newness of life… that in the brokenness and in the mire that my 18 year old self was found, God has weaved the most beautiful story for His glory, and for my good. Seeing it all now that I’m 32 is just an incredible blessing.”
Joyce highlighted, “Indeed, the prize isn’t this academic achievement, it’s not the honors, or the earthly gifts gained— the ultimate prize is Christ Himself revealed through every moment that lead up to this. 🤍.”
In a separate post, Joyce also shared the speech she delivered on behalf of her fellow graduates during their commencement ceremony.
“I was thrilled and honored to write and deliver this Message of Thanks on behalf of my fellow graduates. As requested, I’m sharing it with you here—just a few lines shorter, for the sake of IG brevity. 😆,” she shared.
“If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love writing. Through #joythwrites, I’ve shared essays, poems, speeches, and of course, podcast episodes. Words have always been my escape hatch—whether writing or reading them—but I never imagined I’d be given the chance to write these kinds of words. 🤍,” she continued. “I hope I made you all proud. 🥹 and thank YOU for all the kind messages. 🤍”
Joyce previously opened up about the challenges she faced that delayed her studies. She revealed that she had to pause her college education due to financial and family struggles.
“A few semesters into what should have been my university years, financial and family instability made it apparent that I could no longer continue my schooling — I had to immediately start working,” she recalled.
