Kryz Uy shared the DIY birthday surprise she and her husband, Slater Young, prepared for the third birthday of their son Sevi.
"It is 12 midnight, look what hubs and I are doing. It's going to be Sevi's birthday tomorrow. So as always, I want it to make super special for him. Hubs and I are preparing a little surprise," the content creator said in her latest YouTube vlog.
The couple set up a small display near Sevi’s room, filled with toys and candies. "Sevi loves Captain America, so I have this Captain America toy here for him. These are other Avengers toys, Thor and Iron Man — they come at a close second to Captain America," Kryz relayed.
They placed the surprise just outside Sevi’s room so he would see it as soon as he woke up. "This is a very simple DIY birthday thing surprise for him. This is his room when he wakes up. We want when he opens the door that he see the surprise straight away... And then he will have a full day of surprises for him tomorrow," she said.
For Kryz, it is important to make her children's birthdays memorable.
"I always try to make every single birthday special and memorable for them. It doesn't mean expensive or grand. It just has to feel like it's a very special day, it's a different day, because obviously our life in this world is limited and I really want to celebrate the year that has been and the years that are to come," she said.
The content creator hopes that Sevi will remember moments like this as he grows up.
"They have brought so much happiness, joy, excitement, comedy. With Sevi, it's always comedy. All the beautiful things he has done for this family, with this family. I just want to celebrate him and his wonderful life. And I hope when he grows up, this will be a core memory for him. Something that he will also do for his own kids," Kryz stated.
As soon as Sevi woke up, he was surprised and thrilled to see the birthday setup prepared by his parents.
Kryz and Slater also organized a Captain America-themed birthday party for Sevi.
