Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of Filipino boxing legend Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, expressed immense pride in her husband’s legacy as he was officially inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday, June 8, in Canastota, New York.

 

Taking to social media, Jinkee shared snapshots from the special event, showing the boxing icon being honored for his storied career.

 

“I never imagined this moment, but by God's grace, here we are. This is not just about boxing. It's about faith. Family. Sacrifice. Purpose. It's about every Filipino and every fan who believed in me, even when the doubters didn't,” Jinkee quoted Manny in her post, adding the hashtags #ProudWife and #MyChamp.

 



 

Among those in attendance were Manny’s long-time coach Freddie Roach, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, members of Team Pacquiao, as well as Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney who also came alongside American former professional boxer Christy Martin whom she will be portraying in an upcoming biopic.

In an interview with Inquirer.net USA, Jinkee thanked the International Boxing Hall of Fame for honoring her husband.

 

“We are so grateful for the love and support you have shown Manny through the years,” she said. 

 



 

She also dedicated the recognition to Pacquiao’s loyal fans, asking for their continued prayers as Manny prepares for a return to the ring. He is set to challenge Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship on July 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

 

“This honor is for all of you. Please continue to pray for him as he takes on this new challenge.”

On his official Instagram account, Manny shared a heartfelt message reflecting on his boxing journey.

 

“From the streets of General Santos, to the bright lights of Las Vegas, to tonight at the International Boxing Hall of Fame. No shoes, no food, no chance, just a dream in my heart,” Manny recalled.

 

He extended gratitude to his family and fans who supported him throughout his career.

 

“To my wife Jinkee and our kids, thank you for your love and support through every high and every low. To the fans, coaches, media, and every person who cheered, prayed, or stood by me all these years, this is your victory too,” he added.

 



 

Manny also offered words of encouragement to aspiring athletes, saying, “And to the next generation of fighters: never let your situation limit your destiny. With God, nothing is impossible.”

 

Ending his message, he expressed, “Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. This is our story. And the best is still to come. 🙏🇵🇭.”

 

Prior to the event, Manny and Jinkee also attended the banquet of champions where Jinkee expressed: “From the ring to the Hall of Fame. Still cheering you on. Always and forever. 🥰👊🏼 #ProudWife #MyChamp #HallofFameDinner #banquetofchampions”

 



 

Aside from Manny, also inducted into the Hall of Fame were Vinny Paz, Michael Nunn, Yessica Chavez, Mary Jo Sanders, and Anne Sophie Mathis.
