Liam Payne’s $32.2 million estate has been placed under the administration of Cheryl Cole, his former partner and the mother of his 8-year-old son, as per report by PEOPLE.
This is after the One Direction member passed away without a will.
Cheryl has been appointed as administrator of the estate alongside attorney Richard Mark Bray as confirmed by court documents according to the magazine.
Cheryl and Liam started dating in 2016. They welcomed their first son, Bear Grey, in 2017. The celebrity couple parted ways in 2018 and were co-parenting since the breakup.
"I couldn't ask someone better. The relationship we have with each other now as friends has only grown more," Liam relayed as he reflected on his friendship with Cheryl in a 2022 interview on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast.
Liam passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16, 2024.
Liam sustained "extremely serious injuries" after falling from the third floor of Casa Sur Hotel as per the Buenos Aires police. His death was confirmed by the Medics at the scene.

Following the singer’s passing, Cheryl took to social media to express her grief and urge the public to show compassion, especially in consideration of their son.
"Liam was not only a pop star and celebrity, he was a son, a brother, an uncle, a dear friend and a father to our 7 year old son. A son that now has to face the reality of never seeing his father again," she wrote in an Instagram post in October of last year.
Cheryl continued: "What is troubling my spirit the most is that one day Bear will have access to the abhorrent reports and media exploitation we have seen in the past two days. It is breaking my heart further that I cannot protect him from that in his future."
"I am begging you to consider what use some of these reports are serving, other than to cause further harm to everyone left behind picking up the pieces," she added. "Please give Liam the little dignity he has left in the wake of his death to rest in some peace at last."
