MANILA — Former "Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11" housemate Dylan Yturralde and JL Toreliza will serve as team captains during the first-ever men's volleyball match of the Star Magic All-Star Games, set to take place this July.
"First time ko maglaro sa Star Magic games and volleyball pa. 'Yong sport ko talaga malalaro ko pa. Nakaka-excite kasi ang daming bagong players!" Dylan said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Dylan used to play collegiate volleyball games, same as his rival captain JL. The BGYO member had been wishing for a dedicated men's volleyball game.
"Nag-usap naman kami na kahit anong mangyari, magkakaibigan pa rin tayo after ng laban," JL said.
Fellow BGYO member Akira, Bong Gonzales from the dating show "Sparks Camp" and Patrick Ramirez of "Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11" will also play and bring their volleyball experience.
"Happy po ako kasi sa volleyball malalabas ko po yung leadership skills ko," Patrick said.
Bong shared: "Training pa lang may puksaan na kami, may bardagulan na pero at the end of the day, we're just enjoying."
All-Star Games four-time MVP Analain Salvador said the men's volleyball game is a must-see, but the girls' game is also expected to thrill the fans.
"I think it's still gonna be competitive, same as last year. I think every time we play it's always competitive but at the same time we enjoy it," Analain said.
The Star Magic All-Star Games 2025, happening on July 20, 2025, will also feature the classic basketball match.
