It’s Showtime and actress Karylle Tatlonghari recently shared a glimpse of a special dinner celebration with the cast of the upcoming historical film Quezon.

On her Instagram page, Karylle posted some photos from their special dinner celebration including her husband, SpongeCola frontman Yael Yuzon,

“3 birthday cakes

Some perfectly cooked steak 🥩

Lots of laughter

An autographed #GameOfThrones book

A visiting artist all too generous to share stories, answer questions & learn about Filipino culture,” Karylle wrote in a caption.

One of the highlights of the evening was Iain Glen autographing a copy of the Game of Thrones book for Karylle and Yael. Iain, played Jorah Mormont, an exiled Northern lord from Westeros who became one of the most trusted companions of the mother of dragons, Daenerys Targaryen in the television adaptation of the George R. R. Martin novel.

The international actor inscribed: “For Yael and K with lots of love. Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont).”

Karylle wrote in her caption: “A visiting artist is of course @iainglen60 as many of you already know. He will be playing Governor-General Wood in Jerrold Tarog's @jtarog's Quezon.”

Actor Benjamin Alves, who also stars in the film, playfully teased Yael in the comments, saying, “Wish Yael still had the Jon Snow hair.”

A family friend also commented, “Omg humihinga pa ba si Yael? He was all about the books from day 1,” to which Karylle replied, “@imeemuggle I have a video to show you tita Imee. Cute naman. Not too shookt.”

Aside from the special autograph book, the cast also celebrated Karylle’s birthday where she was able to blow her birthday cake with some of her fellow March celebrants.

“#BecomingAurora has its many surprises, but this night was not what I expected. Thanks for the yummiest dinner @wolfgangssteakhouseph, BGC ♡ thanks for hosting us @vincegolangco & @daniella.roi,” she added.

Back in February, Karylle expressed her excitement about landing the role of First Lady Aurora Quezon. On her podcast, she shared how the opportunity came at a time when she was reflecting on her career and wondering why she hadn’t been cast in period films despite her extensive stage experience.

"It came at a time when I was wondering, how come I never get cast in movies or in films that are period films because I've done Larawan: The Musical on stage and I also did [Isang Gabing] Sarswela," she said.

Karylle reflected on how the opportunity arrived just as she was contemplating her career direction, seeing it as a sign to actively pursue the projects and roles she wants.

"So just as I thought that the project, the call came in and I was like wow I guess I should be asking these questions and really moving towards the places or spaces I wanted to be in," she stated.

On February 18, she officially announced her role in the film via Instagram, saying: "What an honor to be playing First Lady Aurora Quezon in @tbastudiosph's Quezon. Thank you for this amazing opportunity TBA Studios. I'm so excited to be working with all of you.”
