Three days after Kai Gutierrez’s seventh birthday, Sarah Lahbati shared a glimpse of their mother-son bonding on Instagram.
“Seven years of pure joy and love, my angel sunshine Kai,” she wrote in the caption.
In the snaps shared by the actress, the birthday boy, Kai, and his elder brother, Zion, were seen enjoying a beach trip with their mom.
On March 22, Sarah’s ex-partner Richard Gutierrez threw an Avengers-themed party for his youngest son in Alabang, which was attended by family members, friends, and some celebrities including Concert King Martin Nievera.
In an interview with Abante News, Richard’s mother Annabelle Rama said she took charge in the preparation of Kai’s party due to her son’s busy schedule. However, Richard said in a separate interview that he was in constant communication with his mom during the entire time.
In an Instagram post on March 21, Richard penned a heartfelt message for Kai.
“To my youngest son whose infectious smile and limitless energy lights up every room, always remember that we love you, keep being yourself and keep being awesome. Always protect your kind heart and good intentions. Dad will always have your back. I love you Kai,” he said.
The Incognito star arrived from his New York trip with Zion, who was one of his school’s delegates for the United Nations, just in time for his youngest birthday.
In 2024, Sarah and Richard organized separate events for Kai’s sixth birthday, with both of them following their son’s preference for a Minecraft-themed party.
In the same year, Sarah confirmed speculations of her separation from her ex-husband.
Last January, Richard revealed that they are currently undergoing the process of annulment, but he assured that they are co-parenting for their children’s welfare.
Sarah and Richard took their vows in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
