In 2020, Sharon couldn’t help but get emotional after remembering her father and shared her thoughts with her followers in a post. She wrote, ”Hi Daddy, I wish you were here right beside me now. There has never been anyone like you in all my life. No one has ever loved me as much as you have. All I have left of you is your DNA and your blood running through my veins. I miss you oh so much...there are no words that can express how much...I love you my Daddy. You left me almost twenty years ago, but it feels like you left me only yesterday...I need your words of wisdom and your reassuring words, your love...Oh Daddy ko...How I miss your strength and your gentleness at the same time..”

The Megastar is also known to enjoy reminiscing favorite moments with her father. In a previous Instagram post that same year, she shared: “My ‘partner-in-(usually his) crime’ - Daddy! Hahaha! I remember when we’d whisper to each other and Mom would see us and right away go, ‘Ano na naman yan? Kayong dalawa ha!’ And sometimes the four of us would be eating together, and Mommy would say something. If Daddy thought it was funny or untrue, he’d kick me under the table and we’d look at each other. And if he smiled...I couldn’t help it—I’d burst into laughter! Patay na naman. Mommy would go, ‘Ano ba!!! Ako na naman ang pinag-uusapan niyo no?!’ Di naman kami nag-usap ni Daddy! Hahahaha! Hug ko nalang si Mommy sabay kiliti. Tapos sasabihin niya, ‘SHARONA! STOP IT! Huwag mo ko ganyanin! SHARONAAAAAA! Sssshhh! Enough na! Mapapahiya ka sige! SHAROOOOOOON!!!!’ Hahahahahahahahaha! OMG at least I’m smiling now - I can still see and hear them.🤣 ”
