Mimiyuuuh opened up about her experience living independently for the first time in her newly purchased condominium in Makati.
In her latest YouTube vlog, the content creator shared her excitement about furnishing her space with pieces that reflect her personal style.
"I'm gonna get new furniture. So excited about the new furniture actually kasi 'yung mga pieces na mga nabili ko are something that I really love... so parang mga chairs na po 'yun I feel like they can make my home homier and gusto ko po kasi sa mga bagay na nasa bahay ko, they are representing me as a person," she said.
She also brought some sentimental pieces to the condo, including her own paintings and her favorite living room table from her family's home.
Mimiyuuuh also shared that she already bought a bed for her condominium. "Bumili na rin po ako ng bed ko so dito na rin po talaga ako natutulog... I love sleeping here especially 'pag gising ko, nakikita ko na 'yung view from outside," she stated.
According to the 29-year-old content creator, she chose not to hire an interior designer and decided to style the condo herself based on her personal taste.
"Actually hindi na rin po ako nag-hire ng interior designer. I mean it's so essential especially kung wala po kayong alam or you really need help in making your house a home pero gusto ko po kasing maging personal everything about this house so I did everything on my own," she said.
Reflecting on her journey of independence, Mimiyuuuh said the experience has made her feel more mature and capable.
"Nakaka-adult 'yung mga ganitong bagay. I mean, tinutulungan ako ng kuya ko mag-set up or mag-fill up ng form and all pero ako pa rin 'yung nag-iintindi and 'yung mga ganitong experiene parang ah talagang adult na ako na you have to do it on your own. And I am just so grateful for these kinds of experiences kasi parang napapatapang niya ako," she said.
The content creator added: "I think I'm doing a great job living alone... Excited ako sa future adventures natin."
In a previous vlog, Mimiyuuuh shared that she decided to gift herself a condo for her birthday as a way to embrace independent living.
"I decided na what is the gift that can give me more experience? Or parang mas ma-experience ko ang life? So na-realize ko na bakit hindi ko i-try na mag-live alone, so I bought me a condo and yes, ako na po is a Salcedo girly," she shared.
"Kasi alam niyo, ewan ko, feeling ko I am the queen of manifestation talaga or I am such a lucky girl,” she added. "I am so excited po na i-tour kayo dito sa ating bagong place."
Mimiyuuuh revealed that she purchased a new unit in Makati as it is a city she has grown to love for its walkability.
"My month po na parang every other day nagma-Makati ako, so parang na-realize ko na ang ganda ng Makati and I can really see myself living in Makati. And aside from that, I think Makati is one of the cities here in Metro Manila na actually is walkable," she said. "Nung nandito ako sa Makati, ang saya-saya maglakad dito, and I feel that everything that you need is actually walkable."
Through living independently, Mimiyuuuh also wanted to understand herself better. "I am also exicted to know more about myself. 'Yun naman po talaga ang reason kung bakit gusto ko i-try mag-isa kasi sabi nila you will know more about yourself when you are alone," she stated.
