Content creator and actress Sassa Gurl has entered a new chapter in her life. In an interview with Boy Abunda on December 26 with actress Ysabel Ortega, the content creator revealed that she is currently dating someone, sharing how her approach to love has changed over time.
When asked about her love life, Sassa answered without hesitation, saying: “Actually Tito Boy, I’m seeing someone.”
The revelation immediately drew cheers and reactions from the people in the studio, with Tito Boy and Ysabel visibly caught off guard. Amid the excitement, Sassa added a playful remark: “Hala! Ang arte naman”
The content creator hinted that she would not be spending Christmas alone, even joking about the expenses that comes with the holidays. “Napagastos ako ngayong Christmas...Christmas Rush,” she said, drawing laughter as she shared the realities of the festive season.
As the conversation continued, Sassa reflected on how her perspective on romance has matured, explaining that she now approaches love with more intention and caution.
“Wise me naman. This time around mas matalino na ako sa pagmamahal. Non-showbiz siya kasi, nako, makalat yung ganiyan kasi eh, nandito tuloy tinatanong,” she joked, pointing out why she prefers someone outside the public eye.

She went on to explain why a quieter relationship appeals to her, especially given her very public career. “Pero alam mo ‘yun, ako naniniwala ako na kailangan medyo may compliment nang onti yung relationship especially [na] yung relationship ko ay hindi pangkaraniwan sa lipunan.”
“So kailangan at least man lang may konting peace of mind ako. Naniniwala ako na kailangan ko ng very non-showbiz at tahimik,” she added.
Putting it simply, Sassa maintained: “I want a tahimik na buhay.”
Despite the honesty, Sassa was quick to clarify that things are still in the early stages. “Nagda-date pa lang naman, Tito Boy. Hindi ko ma-flex kasi malay mo bigla akong i-ghost diba?” she said jokingly, as she is yet to disclose the mystery person.
Sassa Gurl first rose to fame around 2020, when her humorous TikTok videos about everyday classroom scenarios resonated with millions during a time when face-to-face classes were suspended. Her content tapped into shared experiences and nostalgia, quickly building a massive following across platforms. Today, she has 8.1 million followers on TikTok, 2.7 million on Facebook, 483,000 on Instagram, 549,000 on Twitter, and over 346,000 subscribers on YouTube.
In 2022, Sassa publicly came out as transgender, the same year she made history as the first trans woman in the country to become a calendar girl for a well-known liquor brand. She also appeared on a billboard along EDSA, marking a milestone for the wider community she represents.

Beyond content creation and modeling, Sassa has steadily built a presence in television and film. This year, she appears in two entries at the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival: Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins and Bar Boys, further showcasing her range as a performer.
Aside from these, she also remains known for her iconic drunk blush makeup look. In an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN last November, Sassa shared the origin behind her look that fans still love to this day.
“Siyempre nung content ko ginagawa ko, eme eme pa lang, medyo playtime playtime lang. Pero nung naging content creator ako, napauso ko yung parang blush. Yung drunk blush ‘day. Sobrang blush blindness, ganun. Kasi eme eme lang din ako mag-makeup. Tapos ang nakakaloka dun, kahit eme eme lang siya, napauso siya ng malala.”
Along with fame came critics, but Sassa has remained firm in her sense of self.
“Ang lagi kong iniisip, once you know your identity, talagang secure ka sa sarili mo. At yun ang una kong nabuo sa aking journey, yung identity ko. Talagang inalam ko muna kung sino talaga si Sassa Gurl. At kung saan nanggagaling yung mga hugot ko, ano ang mga gusto ko ipakita sa mga nakshie ko, ano values na gusto kong i-share. nung nabuo ko yun at na-embrace ko yun, na-empower niya ako na parang kahit anong bash ang sabihin sa akin, secure ako sa sarili ko at secure ako sa sarili kong identity. So yun ang mahalagang binibigay ko sa mga nakshie ko, buohin niyo muna yung identity niyo. Kasi superpower kasi yan eh,” she previously shared.
